JUDA - A Juda man was injured in a motorcycle accident Sunday after he lost control of his motorcycle, according the Green County Sheriff's Department.
Aaron E. Steinmann, 39, was thrown from his motorcycle following the one-vehicle accident at about 5:45 p.m. on County KS, east of County S in Jefferson township.
An investigation revealed that Steinmann was traveling west on County KS when he lost control of his motorcycle. The cycle failed to negotiate a curve, went into a ditch and overturned.
Steinmann was transported to a Madison hospital by Med-Flight.
He was not wearing a helmet.
Steinmann was arrested for second-offense drunken driving and cited for failure to maintain control of a vehicle. He was released pending court.
Speed and alcohol were contributing factors in the crash, sheriff's officials said.
The motorcycle received moderate damage and was towed.
The Juda Fire Department and Green County Emergency Medical Services assisted at the scene.
