Lucile V. Minder age 98 of Marshfield, WI, formerly of Monroe, died Thursday, October 31, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. Lucile was born January 27, 1915 in Sylvester Township, Green County, Wisconsin, the daughter of Joseph Francis and Anna Amelia (Braun) Striker. She graduated from Monroe High School in 1932 and Green County Normal School in 1933. Lucile married Walter Minder on April 20, 1947 in Monroe and worked at Montgomery Ward and the Swiss Colony for many years. She was a former member of St. John's United Church of Christ and Monroe Moose Lodge. She has resided in Marshfield since 1991.
Lucile is survived by her son, Walter R. (Paula) Minder of Marshfield; a grandson, Chad R. Minder (Lesli Pluster) of Wausau; a granddaughter, Amber M. (Richard) Pollock of Norwalk, WI; and her sister-in-law, Daisy Striker of Monroe. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter on November 4, 1992; an infant daughter, Judith, on August 3, 1949; and six brothers, George, Wilbert, Herbert, Edward, Paul, and Andrew Striker.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2013, at 1:00 p.m., at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, with Rev. Randy Booth officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
