Lorraine May Richards, age 73, of Albany, Wisconsin, died Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Monroe. She was born May 25, 1937, in Clarno Township, Green County, Wisconsin, the daughter of Albert and Bessie (Fisher) Boss.
Lorraine and Russell James Richards were married on June 23, 1956, in Mt. Horeb, WI. Lorraine was a cook at Pleasant View Nursing Home, the Ravine Restaurant, and Swiss Colony Inn. She loved quilting, sewing, watching TV game shows, and Lottery Pull Tabs.
Surviving are her children, Ronald Richards of Albany, WI, Lisa (Ed) Hopkins of Chester, VA, LeRoy (Mary) Richards of Brodhead, WI & Laverne (Laura Dalton) Richards of Monroe, WI; brothers, Delbert (Sally) Boss of Monroe, WI, Ervin Boss of Rockford, IL, Victor (Kay) Boss of Albany, WI, & Wilbert Boss of Albany, WI; sister, Stella (Don) Svendsen of Browntown, WI; family friend, Ralph Howe of Rockford, IL; 12 Grandchildren; 16 Great-Grandchildren; many Nieces, Nephews, & other relatives; and her pet cat, "Missy." She is predeceased by her Parents; Husband; son, Thomas Richards; granddaughter, Kimberly Richards; and sisters, Clara Leopold & Delores King.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, June 21, 2010, at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home, 1455 Mansion Drive & 18th Avenue in Monroe with Pastor Matthew Spoonhour officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Albany, WI.
Visitation will be from 10:00 to time of service at 11:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home.
