BRODHEAD - Loretta J. Friedly, age 75, of Brodhead, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2014, at her home. She was born on January 9, 1939 in Monroe, WI, the daughter of Bernard and Charlotte (Stephens) Hoeper. She married Robert J. Friedly on March 12, 1955 in Brodhead.
Loretta had worked for the Chalet Supper Club, Brodhead, and Advanced Transformer of Monroe, until her retirement. She loved going to the river in Lynxville, WI and was a member of the Walleye Club in Lynxville. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, crocheting, fishing, and the game "Ding-ding.'
She is survived by her husband Robert; three daughters, Debbie (Dan) Meier, Manitowish Waters, WI, Jodie (Steve) Zimmerman, Monroe, WI, Kristi (Bill) Prien), Brodhead, WI; a sister, Mary Thomas, Evansville, WI; a brother, Robert Hoeper, Brodhead; five grandchildren, Cody (Melissa) Meier, Tory (Jamie) Meier, Chad (Tasha) Zimmerman, Karissa (Ryan) Eckelberg, Lacey Prien; six great-grandchildren, Tatum and Mason Meier, Lily, Lany, and Maxwell Zimmerman, and Henry Eckelberg.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at the D.L. NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, BRODHEAD, WI. Private graveside services will be held on Thursday at Greenwood Cemetery, Brodhead, WI. Online condolences may be made at www.dlnewcomerfuneralhome.com.
