Lois G. Dietrich, age 87, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at Agrace Hospice Care, Fitchburg. She was born April 16, 1926 the daughter of Emil and Marie (Parmer) Mauerman of Browntown. Lois graduated from Monroe High School in 1943 and was a lifelong resident of Green County.

Lois genuinely enjoyed working throughout her life. She was a waitress for many years at the Chocolate Shop and Swiss Wheel restaurants and worked at Frito-Lay until retiring from the plant in 1990. Following she worked five years at the Swiss Colony Bakery as well as part-time at Farm & Fleet, retiring again in 2006.

She is survived by sons, Larry Kraus, Hazel Green and Randy (Mary) Roderick, Monroe, stepdaughters, Deb Kuchler, Ft. Myers, FL. and Denise Stevens, Scott City, MO., 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Nathan Mauerman, husband, William, and son, Dennis Roderick.

Funeral Services will be held at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home 1455 Mansion Dr. and 18th Ave., Thursday, September 26, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Randy Booth of the Monroe United Methodist Church officiating.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church or the Green County EMS Building Fund.
