Brodhead Police
On Oct. 10:
● 8:42 a.m., two juveniles were cited in the 2500 block of W 5th Ave. for Tobacco Violations.
● 4:25 p.m., a 26 year old South Beloit, IL man was cited in the 300 block of 23rd St for Operating a Motor Vehicle With Suspended Registration.
● 9:38 p.m., while on patrol, Police located a Hazard in the 100 block of 1st St; debris in roadway. Officers were able to clear it off the road.
On Oct. 11:
● 12:23 p.m., a Brodhead juvenile was cited n the 2500 block of W 5th Ave for Possession of Tobacco Under The age of 18.
● 2:27 p.m., while on patrol, police located a hazard in the 1100 block of 4th St; cable line across roadway. Charter was contacted and the line was cleared from the roadway.
On Oct. 12:
● 1:05 p.m., a 21 year old Monroe man was cited in the 1600 block of 1st Center Ave. for Operating after Suspension, Non-registration of Auto, and Motor Vehicle Liability Insurance Required.
● 5:53 p.m., Police responded to the 2500 block of W 5th Ave. for the report of Disorderly Conduct; two subjects involved in a verbal altercation. Contact was made and this matter was resolved.
On Oct. 13
● 11:03 p.m., Police responded to the N300 block of 1st Center Ave. for the report of Suspicious Activity; a missing recycling cart. This matter remains under investigation.
On Oct. 14:
● 8:28 a.m., Police responded to the 900 block of 13th St. for the report of an Animal Problem; a dog at large. The owner was contacted and a warning was issued.
On Oct 15:
● 11:24 a.m., Police responded to the 1400 block of E 4th Ave. for the report of a Traffic Complaint; a go-kart operating on the roadway. Contact was made and a warning was issued.
● 11:40 a.m., Police responded to the 600 block of 14th St. for a Code Violation; a truck parked off the heavy truck route. This matter remains under investigation.
● 12:48 p.m., a 29 year old Janesville man was cited in the 400 block of 1st St. for Speeding.
● 1:35 p.m., a 51 year old Brodhead man was arrested on a warrant issued by the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office.
● 11:53 p.m., Police responded to the 800 block of E 6th Ave. for the report of Suspicious Activity; subjects smashing pumpkins. Police checked the area but did not locate the subjects; no other suspicious activity was located.
Monticello Police
On Sept. 15:
● At approximately 1:51 p.m., Officers responded and are investigating some stolen property that was recovered in the 300 block of S. Garfield Street. The incident remains under investigation.
● At approximately 7:03 p.m., Officers received information on a hit and run to property incident that had taken place in the 100 block of N. Pratt Road. A witness provided a vehicle description. The incident remains under investigation.
