Lafayette County Sheriff
DARLINGTON — On June 12:
♦ Suspicious activity was reported at 1:49 a.m. on South Street in Argyle.
♦ A deputy assisted Darlington Police with suspicious activity at 1:51 a.m. on Main Street in Darlington.
♦ Livestock on the road was reported at 6:49 a.m. on County M in Wiota Township.
♦ Deputies responded at 1:03 p.m. to County Shop Road, Darlington Township for a check welfare, Darlington Police assisted on scene.
♦ An erratic driver was reported at 2:18 p.m. on Wis. 81 in Seymour Township. Darlington Police assisted.
♦ A disabled vehicle was reported at 2:21 p.m. on Wis. 11 in Shullsburg Township.
♦ A deputy assisted Rockford, Illinois, Police at 3:34 p.m. on Mullen Road in White Oak Springs Township. R. C Hall, 50, Rockford, Illinois, was arrested on a valid Illinois warrant and was transported to the Lafayette County Jail. Hall remains in custody. Hall was also cited for possession of THC.
♦ A restraining order violation was reported at 5:15 p.m. on Mullen Road in White Oak Springs Township.
♦ Suspicious activity was reported at 6:53 p.m. on Palfrey Road in Shullsburg Township.
♦ Dennis L. Holcomb, 45, Monticello, was arrested at 8:45 p.m. by the Monroe Police Department on three valid Lafayette County warrants. Holcomb was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where he remains in custody.
♦ Suspicious activity was reported at 10:07 p.m. on Palfrey Road in Shullsburg Township.
♦ Suspicious activity was reported at 11:33 p.m. on County J in Benton.
Brodhead Police
BRODHEAD — For the week of June 3 to June 9, the Brodhead Police reported 40 calls for service, five follow-ups to incidents, 14 vehicle registrations, 30 citizen assists, 53 security checks, five assists to other agencies, five traffic stops, 12 911 calls, three fire calls and three EMS calls.
On June 3:
♦ A 60-year-old German Valley, Illinois, man was cited for speeding at 11:24 a.m. in the 600 block of 1st Street.
♦ A 28-year-old Brodhead man was cited for vehicle operator failure to wear seatbelt at 12:05 p.m. in the 1000 block of 1st Center Street.
♦ Trespassing was reported at 12:15 p.m. in the 800 block of East Exchange Street. Contact was made and warnings were issued.
♦ A 21-year-old Brodhead man was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia and was cited for no muffler/defective muffler at 10:24 p.m. in the 100 block of 1st Street.
On June 5:
♦ Disorderly conduct was reported at 2:28 p.m. in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue. Contact was made and a warning was issued.
♦ A gas drive-off was reported at 3:44 p.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue. It was determined this was an oversight and the matter was resolved.
♦ A report of subjects swimming in the area of Golf Course Road (Headgates Park) was taken at 5:21 p.m. Contact was made; there were no violations observed.
♦ A 58-year-old Janesville man was cited for motor vehicle liability insurance required at 6:13 p.m. in the 1900 block of 1st Center Avenue.
On June 6:
♦ A missing person was reported at 3:43 p.m. in the 500 block of 11th Street. The subject was located and returned home without incident.
♦ Harassment was reported at 8:06 p.m. in the 800 block of East 2nd Avenue. A subject was receiving unwanted calls. Contact was made and a warning was issued.
On June 7:
♦ A 22-year-old Irvington, Illinois, man was cited for operating without a valid license at 3:27 p.m. in the 2000 block of 1st Center Avenue.
♦ A code violation was reported at 6:41 p.m. in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue. The vehicle left the area prior to officer’s arrival.
♦ Two females, age 47 and 24, were cited for seatbelt violations at 7:18 p.m. in the 500 block of 1st Street.
On June 8:
♦ A gas drive-off was reported at 9:55 a.m. in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue. The subject returned and paid; no citations were issued.
♦ A gas drive-off was reported at 2:38 p.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue. The investigation continues.
♦ A 22-year-old Brodhead man was cited for issue of worthless checks at 3:09 p.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue.
On June 9:
♦ Theft was reported at 9:06 p.m. in the 500 block of 10th Street. This matter remains under investigation.
♦ A code violation was reported at 10:37 p.m. in the 700 block of East 4th Avenue. Contact was made and the matter was resolved.

MONROE — On June 12:
♦ Disorderly conduct was reported at 4:55 a.m. at Jack Links, 200 Industrial Drive in the Village of New Glarus. Kegan J. Jarosz, 19, Monroe, was cited for disorderly conduct. Jarosz was released pending court.
