BRODHEAD — From June 24 to 30, police handled 43 security checks, 26 requests for citizen assists or community policing, 15 assists of other agencies, 14 calls for service, 14 incident followups, 13 EMS calls, 12 911/BEEMS calls, 10 vehicle registrations, seven traffic stops and no fire calls, mental health transports or detox transports.

On June 24:

♦ A Janesville woman, 36, was cited for speeding at 2:01 p.m. in the 700 block of 23rd Street.

♦ A Johnsburg, Illinois man, 46, was cited for speeding at 2:40 p.m. in the 200 block of 1st Street.

♦ A Brodhead man, 32, was cited for speeding at 2:58 p.m. in the 200 block of 1st Street.

♦ An Independence, Iowa man, 68, was cited for speeding at 3:14 p.m. in the 300 block of 1st Street.

♦ A Milton man, 41, was cited for speeding and non-registration of a vehicle at 3:37 p.m. in the 200 block of 1st Street.

♦ A Butler man, 59, was cited for speeding at 4:37 p.m. in the 200 block of 1st Street.

♦ A Beloit woman, 23, was cited for operating while intoxicated at 4:50 p.m. in the 100 block of East 9th Avenue.

♦ Disorderly conduct was reported at 6:57 p.m. in the 200 block of Cedar Avenue. A male subject was causing a disturbance and refused to leave when asked by the homeowner. Contact was made, the subject left the residence and a warning was issued.

♦ A dog at large was reported at 7:01 p.m. in the 700 block of 15th Street. The owner was warned.

♦ A code violation of two dogs in the park in the N100 block of 1st Center Avenue was reported at 7:24 p.m. The dogs in question were no longer in the park when the officer arrived.

♦ A fireworks complaint was reported at 7:50 p.m. in the 1400 block of East 8th Avenue. Police responded to the area but were unable to locate the violation.

♦ A Brodhead man, 18, was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign at railroad tracks at 8:37 p.m. in the 1100 block of West 4th Avenue.

On June 25:

♦ A dog at large was reported at 12:21 p.m. in the 1000 block of West 3rd Avenue. The owner was warned.

♦ A code violation of a water tank leaking onto the street was reported at 7:13 p.m. in the 600 block of 1st Center Avenue. It was determined the tank contained rain water and was not a hazard. A warning was issued.

♦ Disorderly conduct was reported at 8:54 p.m. in the 500 block of 10th Street. A juvenile was causing a disturbance at the residence. A warning was issued.

♦ A gas drive-off was reported at 9:23 p.m. in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue. It remains under investigation. Police are seeking a subject to question about this incident.

On June 27:

♦ A parking complaint was reported at 6:18 p.m. in the 300 block of 1st Center Avenue. Contact was made, and the matter was resolved.

♦ A Brodhead woman, 57, was cited for driving with a suspended license at 7:57 p.m. in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue.

♦ A Brodhead man, 48, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, damage to property and false imprisonment at 8:43 p.m. in the 1100 block of 13th Street. He was also cited for possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

On June 28:

♦ An alleged temporary restraining order violation was reported at 9:38 a.m. The investigation continues.

♦ A code violation of a person posting signs without permission was reported at 11:20 a.m. in the W700 block of Golf Course Road. The person was warned.

On June 29:

♦ A Brodhead man, 29, was arrested at 8:52 a.m. on a warrant issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.

♦ Harassment was reported at 10:18 a.m. in the 900 block of West Exchange Street. The complainant was receiving unwanted text messages. The sender of the texts was warned.

♦ A Pecatonica, Illinois woman, 75, was cited for speeding and not wearing a seatbelt at 11:36 a.m. in the 2200 block of 1st Center Avenue.

♦ A Machesney Park, Illinois woman, 25, was cited for speeding at 12:47 p.m. in the 1100 block of 4th Street. A passenger in the vehicle, a 26-year-old man also from Machesney Park, was cited for possessing drug paraphernalia.

♦ A Brodhead man, 29, was cited for driving with a revoked license at 4:53 p.m. in the 1200 block of 1st Center Avenue.

♦ A Freeport woman, 22, was cited for speeding at 6:51 p.m. in the 100 block of East 2nd Avenue.

On June 30:

♦ A Monroe woman, 31, was cited for speeding at 1:23 p.m. in the 100 block of East 9th Avenue.

♦ A Monroe woman, 22, was cited for speeding at 2:47 in the 400 block of East 9th Avenue.

♦ A traffic crash was reported at 3:25 p.m. in the 1700 block of 1st Center Avenue. One vehicle had rear-ended another. Contact was made, and the matter was resolved.

MONROE — Douglas A. Kaufman, 50, Monroe, was cited for retail theft at 5:01 p.m. June 30 following a shoplifting complaint in Walmart, 300 6th Ave. W.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE — On June 30:

♦ Graham G. Watson, 19, Brodhead, was cited for possessing THC and drug paraphernalia after deputies checked on a suspicious vehicle parked at 2:05 a.m. in the W700 block of Wedgewood Court, Town of Decatur.

♦ John L. Carothers Muszynski, 26, Monroe, was arrested on a third-offense charge of operating while under the influence of alcohol and on a charge of possessing THC after deputies stopped a vehicle at 7:05 p.m. near the intersection of 21st Avenue and 6th Street in Monroe. A passenger in the vehicle, Justin J. Kampfer, 29, Monroe, was arrested on charges of possessing THC and drug paraphernalia and for a probation violation. Both were jailed pending court.
