Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD — On July 8:

•  Police responded at 1:14 a.m. to the 1400 block of West 4th Avenue for a fireworks violation. Police were unable to locate the source.

• A 61-year-old Kenosha woman was cited for speeding at 3:05 p.m. in the 600 block of 1st Street.

•  Police responded at 9:11 p.m. to the 400 block of 12th Street for disorderly conduct; The subjects were involved in a civil dispute and the matter was resolved.

On July 9:

•  A vehicle in violation of the junk vehicle ordinance was reported at 3:50 p.m. on the 1200 block of 1st Center Avenue.  A warning was issued to the owner

• A 25-year-old Waterford man was cited for speeding at 4:08 p.m. in the 1100 block of 4th Street.

• A 26-year-old Rockford woman was cited for speeding at 5:08 p.m. in the 500 block of East 9th Avenue. 

On July 10:

•  Police responded at 8:37 p.m. to the 900 block of West Exchange Street for the report of a restraining order violation which remains under investigation.

•  Trespassing was reported at 9:59 p.m. on the 900 block of West Exchange Street Contact was made and it was determined there was no violation. 

On July 11:

• A Fireworks violation was reported at 10 p.m. on the 900 block of 19th Street. Police were unable to locate the source of the violation. 

On July 12:

•  A motor scooter was left parked on the sidewalk and reported at 2:58 p.m. on the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue. The owner was issued a warning.

• Vehicles in violation of the junk vehicle ordinance were reported at 6:58 p.m. on the 1000 block of East  9th Avenue. The owner was issued a warning.

• A code violation was reported. Items of debris and garbage on a property were reported at 7:18 p.m. on the 100 block of East 3rd Avenue. A warning was issued.

On July 13:

•  A fireworks violation was reported at 12:25 a.m.. the 200 block of East 10th Avenue. Police were unable to locate the source.

•  Grass clippings in the road were reported at 6:48 a.m.. the 1000 block of 12th Street. A warning was issued and the roadway was cleaned up.  

•  A vehicle in violation of the junk vehicle ordinance was reported at 7:03 p.m. on the 600 block of East 2nd Avenue. A warning was issued.

•  A fireworks violation was reported at 9:01 p.m. on the 1300 block of East 9th Avenue.  Police were unable to locate the source of the violation. 

•  A vehicle left in a private parking lot without permission was reported at 11:26 p.m. on the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue. The owner was contacted and vehicle was removed.  

On July 14:

•  A 64-year-old Janesville woman was cited for speeding at 9:46 a.m. in the 1100 block of 4th Street.

• A 35-year-old West Dundee, Illinois, woman was cited for speeding at 10:31 a.m. in the N200 block of 1st Center Avenue

• A 32-year-old Hoffman Estates, Illinois, man was cited for speeding at 11:03 a.m. in the N200 block of 1st Center Avenue.

• A 64-year-old Brodhead man was arrested at 11:49 a.m. in the 1000 block of  21st Street on a warrant issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. 

• A fireworks complaint was reported at 8:23 p.m. the 700 block of 1st Center Avenue  Contact was made and a verbal warning was issued. 

• Police responded  to a disorderly conduct complaint of a subject yelling at another at 9:36 p.m. on the 600 block of 17th Street. The investigation continues.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — On July 17:

• Chad A. Davis, 31, Brooklyn, was arrested at 6:28 a.m. for probation violation at the Green County Probation and Parole Office, Monroe.  Davis was incarcerated at the Green County Jail.

• Cole F. Brunner, 36, Brodhead, was arrested at 12:39 p.m. for operating while intoxicated (2nd offense) on the N3200 block of Park Road, Decatur.  Brunner was also cited for open intoxicants in a motor vehicle. He was released pending a court appearance.

• Daria L. Beutel, 25, Browntown, was arrested at 8:57 p.m. at a residence in the 200 block of E Main Street, Town of Cadiz, on two arrest warrants issued by the Monroe Police Department. Beutel was incarcerated at the Green County Jail pending a court appearance. 

On July 18:

•  Christopher G. Johnson, 37, Monroe, was arrested for substantial battery-domestic abuse at 3:41 p.m. regarding a disturbance that occurred in the 1600 block of 28th Avenue, Monroe.  Johnson was incarcerated at the Green County Jail pending an initial court appearance.
