Monticello Police

On June 15:

● At approximately 10:17 p.m., Officers responded to the 400 block of E. Coates Avenue for a report of a dog running at large.  Officers checked the area.  The dog was not located. 

● At approximately 1:33 p.m., Officers responded to the 200 block of S. Madison Street for a parking complaint.  The vehicles owner was located and the matter was resolved a short time later. 

● At approximately 4:06 p.m., Officers responded to the 100 block of Sate Hwy 69 for a reported traffic hazard.  Officers removed a large piece of wood from the lane of traffic.  

On June 19:

● 4:11p.m., Police responded to the 1600 block of 1st Center Ave. for the report of an Animal Problem; a dog left in a car. The owner was contacted and advised of the complaint; was advised to be mindful of the weather and leaving the animal in the vehicle.

On June 20:

● 7:28a.m., Police responded to the 900 block of W Exchange St for the report of a Code Violation; unknown subjects illegally dumping items behind a business. This matter remains under investigation.

 On June 21:

● 11:36a.m., Police responded to the 1600 block of 20th St for the report of a Theft; stolen passport. This matter remains under investigation.

● 1:21p.m., a 34 year old Janesville woman was cited in the 1900 block of E 9th Ave for Display of Unauthorized Plates, Operating a Vehicle with Revoked/Suspended Registration, and Failure to Transfer Title.

On June 22:

● 12:57a.m., Police responded to the 100 block of E 3rd Ave for the report of Suspicious Activity; subject sleeping in front seat of car in driveway. Contact with driver was made and no additional suspicious activity was found.This matter remains under investigation.

● 7:37a.m., Police responded to the 1000 block of 19th St for the report of Vandalism; vehicle window broken. This matter remains under investigation.

● 8:10a.m., Police responded to the 1000 block of 21st St for the report of Vandalism; vehicle window broken. This matter remains under investigation.

● 9:43a.m., Police responded to the 2400 block of 1st Center Ave for the report of verbal disorderly conduct at a business. Contact with offender was made and a verbal warning for Disorderly Conduct was issued.

● 2:08p.m., Police responded to the 400 block of W 3rd Ave for the report of Trespassing; trespassed individual on property. The 26 year old Brodhead man was cited for Trespassing.

● 3:31p.m., a 44 year old Pardeeville woman was cited in the 300 block of 1st St for Speeding.

● 5:22p.m., a 31 year old Brodhead man was cited in the 1600 block of 1st Center Ave for Possession of THC and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

● 10:09p.m., while on patrol, Police made contact with two individuals in the 1100 block of 1st Center Ave. Both were verbally warned for being in the park after hours.

On June 23:

● 1:13a.m., while on patrol, Police made contact with an individual in the 1100 block of 1st Center Ave. The individual was verbally warned for being in the park after hours.

On June 24:

● 10:49a.m., Police responded to the 300 block of 2nd St for the report of a Parking Complaint; subject parking illegally in handicap parking stall. Contact with vehicle owner was made, a warning was issued, and the vehicle owner moved their vehicle.

On June 25:

● 1:43p.m., Police responded to the 1400 block of 17th St for the report of Suspicious Activity; attempted break-in to a shed overnight. This matter remains under investigation.

● 9:50p.m., while on patrol, Police located subjects lighting off Fireworks within the city limits in the 1000 block of 9th St. Contact with subjects was made and verbal warnings were issued.

On June 20:

● At approximately 7:38 a.m., Officers were contacted in the 300 block of E. Highland Avenue in reference to a dog that had gotten loose from a residence the day prior and was still at large. 

On June 21:

● At approximately 3:08 p.m., Officers responded to the 200 block of N. Kennedy Street for a reported parking complaint.  The vehicle’s owner was contacted and the matter was resolved a short time later.

● At approximately 4:16 p.m., Officers responded within the village for a medical emergency call.  Green County EMS and Monticello Fire First Response also responded. 


Lafayette County Sheriff

On June 17:

● 8:04 AM Lafayette County EMS responded to County Shop RD, Darlington Township for a medical emergency. Darlington Police assisted on scene.

● 9:50 AM A deputy responded to W Mound RD, Belmont Township for a check welfare. 

● 4:39 PM Shullsburg EMS responded to W Church ST in the City for a medical emergency. 

● 5:32 PM A deputy responded to CTH F, Fayette Township for a report of fraud. 

● 5:41 PM Ildefonso L. Baerga-Valenzuela, 36, Chicago was cited for Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign on CTH W, White Oak Springs Township. 

● 6:42 PM Lafayette County EMS responded to Galena ST, City of Darlington for a medical emergency. 

● 7:25 PM Daniel B. Walters, 51, Rockford was cited for Speeding on CTH W, White Oak Springs Township. 

● 11:34 PM A deputy responded to S State ST, Village of Argyle for an unsecured premise.

On June 18:

● Lafayette County EMS responded to STH 23, Willow Springs Township for a medical emergency. 

● 2:28 AM A deputy responded Galena ST, Village of Benton for an animal noise complaint. 

● 3:33 AM Deputies responded to Galena ST, City of Darlington to assist Darlington Police with a disabled vehicle. 

● 6:50 AM Deputies responded to Sunset CT, City of Darlington to assist Darlington Police with a 911 misdial. 

● 8:05 AM Deputies responded to Berry RD, Darlington Township for a juvenile problem. 

● 8:22 AM Deputies responded to E Milwaukee ST, Village of Argyle for a check welfare. Argyle Fire assisted on scene.

● 8:37 AM A deputy responded to CTH Y, Wiota Township for trespassing.

● 10:54 AM Lafayette County EMS responded to Main ST, City of Darlington for a medical emergency. Darlington Police assisted on scene.

● 11:18 AM Deputies responded to School ST, Village of Gratiot for an animal problem. As a result, Nicole K.K. Hull, 39, Gratiot was cited for Dog Running at Large. 

● 1:44 PM Oscar Barahona-Rodriguez, 21, Darlington was cited for Operating Without a Valid License and Operating Without Insurance on STH 81, Seymour Township.

● 4:05 PM Alyssa S. Fischer, 39, Minneapolis was cited for Speeding on STH 81, Elk Grove Township.

● 4:21 PM Benton First Response and Hazel Green EMS responded to E Main ST, Village of Benton for a medical emergency. 

● 6:26 PM A deputy responded to CTH XX, Belmont Township for an animal problem. 

● 7:10 PM Belmont EMS responded to the City of Platteville for a medical emergency.

● 7:50 PM Deputies responded to CTH Z, Willow Springs Township for a one vehicle accident. Taran H. Fox, 24, Belmont was traveling on CTH Z when she lost control of her vehicle, entered the shoulder, and struck the guard rail. Fox reported no injuries. Fox’s 2004 Toyota received disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Fox was cited for Failure to Maintain Control. 

● 10:19 PM A deputy responded to S Galena ST, Village of South Wayne for an animal noise complaint.


Brodhead Police

On June 26:

● 1:42am, a 23 year old Janesville woman was cited in the 500 block of E 9th Ave for Speeding. 

● 2:31am, a 49 year old Brodhead man was arrested in the 200 block of 10th St for Operating While Intoxicated and Prohibited Alcohol Content. 

● 2:46pm, Police responded to the 1100 block of W 5th Ave for the report of an Animal Problem; dog at large. Owner was located and dog was returned home. 

On June 27:

● 5:34pm, Police responded to the 600 block of 4th St for the report of Suspicious Activity; subjects driving around taking pictures of houses. Police patrolled area but were unable to locate the vehicle. 

On June 28:

● 7:07pm, a 30 yar old Monroe man was cited in the 1200 block of 1st Center Ave for No Insurance on Motor Vehicle. 

On June 29:

● 4:01am, Police responded to the 1600 block of E 4th Ave for the report of Suspicious Activity; lights moving around back yard. Officers investigated and it was found to be a motion light that was going on and off. 

● 2:19pm, Police responded to the 500 block of E 2nd Ave for the report of Suspicious Activity; unknown subject biking on their driveway. No items were stolen or tampered with, complainant wanted information documented. 

On June 30: 

● 2:34am, while on patrol, Police noticed Suspicious Activity in the 800 block of E Exchange St; vehicle parked outside of building with lights on after hours. Contact with building owner and subject inside business was made and building owner confirmed they have permission to be in building. No additional suspicious activity was found.

● 4:27pm, a 68 year old Brodhead man was served a Trespassing notice following a report of verbal Disorderly Conduct at a business.


Monroe Police

On July 2:

● On 4:57a.m. Monroe officers were conducting speed enforcement in the W5400 block of State Highway 11. An officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Vincent Buholzer, 25 of Monroe for speeding. Investigation resulted in Vincent being arrested for violating his conditions of bond. Vincent was also cited for Operating after Revocation and warned for speeding. Vincent was later released with a mandatory court date after posting his cash bond.
