Green County Sheriff

On November 30:

● At approximately 7:21 a.m., Deputies responded to the W8400 block of State Highway 39, Town of York, for a reported vehicle in the ditch. Investigations found that Jacqueline P. Hill, 21, of Blanchardville, was eastbound when she lost control of the vehicle, due to icy road conditions, while negotiating a curve in the roadway. Hill’s vehicle entered the South shoulder and down an embankment, striking a fence post. Hill denied injury, reported wearing her seatbelt, and no airbag deployment. Hill’s vehicle sustained functional damage and was removed from the ditch.

On December 1:

● At 6:35 p.m., Deputies and the Brodhead Police Department responded to the W400 block of County Highway E, in the Town of Decatur, for a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Bradley C. Baird, 28, of Brodhead, was traveling southbound when he lost control due to the snowy road conditions. The vehicle then entered the south ditch before overturning and colliding with a fence. Baird reported no injuries, was wearing his seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

● At 8:06 p.m., Deputies along with Juda Fire Department, and Green County EMS responded to the N300 block of County Highway S, in the Town of Jefferson, for a single vehicle crash with injuries. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Daniel P. Aeling, 62,  of Freeport, was traveling southbound when he was reportedly forced off the roadway by a northbound vehicle. Aeling then entered the east ditch and collided with a culvert. Aeling reported non-life-threatening injuries, was wearing his seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. Aeling was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

● At 11:01 p.m., Deputies responded to the N1100 block of County Highway M, in the Town of Cadiz, for a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Jack O. Dickerson, 16,  of Lena, was traveling southbound when he lost control due to snowy road conditions. The vehicle then collided with the west ditch. Dickerson reported no injuries, was wearing his seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

● At 1:47 a.m., Deputies responded to the N5600 block of State Highway 104, in the Town of Albany for a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by David A. Hardy, 53, of Monroe, was traveling westbound on Rock County Highway A, when he reportedly fell asleep. Hardy continued traveling west across State Highway 104 and entered the west ditch and collided with an embankment. Hardy reported no injuries, was wearing his seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Investigation resulted in Hardy being cited for Non-Registration of Auto, Failure to obey Sign, and Inattentive Driving. Hardy was released pending court.

On December 2:

● At 12:02 p.m., Deputies responded to the 600 block of 6th street, in the Village of Albany for the report of a crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Eric J. Thompson, 40,  of Albany, was traveling westbound while towing a trailer with a boat. The trailer disconnected from the Thompson’s vehicle and rolled backwards, colliding with an unoccupied, parked vehicle. Thompson reported no injuries, was wearing his seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. Thompson’s vehicle, trailer and boat all sustained functional damage. The parked vehicle also sustained functional damage.

● At 7:31 p.m., Deputies along with Brodhead EMS and Brodhead Fire Department responded to the N100 block of County Highway G, in the Town of Spring Grove, for a single vehicle crash with injuries. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Melinda A. Rayburn, 38,  of Monroe Center, was traveling northbound when the vehicle entered the east ditch. The vehicle continued traveling north and collided with an embankment at Stateline Road. The vehicle then went airborne and landed in the north ditch of Stateline Road before coming to rest. Rayburn reported non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Rayburn reported wearing her seatbelt and the airbags deployed. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

On December 4:

● At 6:38 a.m., Deputies responded to the W7600 block of State Highway 39, in the Town of York for a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Morgan A. Hustad, 22,  of Mount Horeb was traveling eastbound when she lost control and entered the north ditch. The vehicle then proceeded up an embankment causing the vehicle to overturn. Hustad reported no injuries, was wearing her seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.


Monroe Police

On November 30:

● At 3:27 p.m., officers were called to a two-vehicle accident with no reported injuries, in the 1500 block of 16th Street. An investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Ryan P. Mallory, 18, Monroe, was conducting a backing maneuver, and collided with a legally parked vehicle. Mallory was cited for unsafe backing and released pending a court appearance. 

● At 4:06 p.m., officers were called to check on a suspicious vehicle in the 1000 block of 16th Avenue. An investigation led to Cody A. Kirschbaum, 35, Albany, being cited for obstructing an officer and Christina M. Allen 31, Monroe, being cited for possession of drug paraphernalia. Kirschbaum and Allen were released pending a court appearance.

On December 1:

● At 4:18 a.m., officers arrested Misael Olmos Garcia, 26, Monroe, at a residence in the 1900 block of 6th Street, on a warrant issued by the Green County Sheriff’s Office on a child support case. Olmos Garcia was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.

On December 2:

● At 9:24 p.m., officers were dispatched to a complaint at the Monroe Police Department. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Darwin D. Williams, 65, Monroe, on a charge of soliciting a prostitute. Williams posted cash bail and was released pending a court appearance.

On December 6:

● At 11:48 a.m., officers were called to a two-vehicle accident, with reported injuries, on 20th Avenue at 12th Street. The investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Derek R. Glover, 37, Monroe, was northbound on 20th Avenue and collided with another northbound vehicle, operated by a 64-year-old Monroe woman, which was stopping in traffic at 12th Street to turn west. Both vehicles sustained minor damages and were driven from the scene. Glover was cited for motor vehicle following too closely, and released pending a court appearance.
