Lafayette County Sheriff
On November 9:
● 5:32 a.m. Carla M Brown, 57, Darling-ton reported striking a deer on STH 23, Willow Springs Township. No injuries were reported and Brown’s 2016 Toyota received severe damage and was towed from the scene.
● 8:04 a.m. Harold E Stanley, 62, Benton reported striking a deer on STH 11, Benton Township. No injuries were reported and Stanley’s 2007 Dodge received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
● 4:57 p.m. Tasha J Torres, 28, Darlington reported striking a deer on STH 23, Darlington Township. No injuries were reported and Torres’s 2016 Ford received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
On November 10:
● 9:28 p.m. Ericka J. Chavez, 33, Darlington reported striking a deer on STH 23, Willow Springs Township. Chavez’s 2020 Nissan received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
On November 11:
● 5:34 p.m. Randal W. Dailey, 66, Orfordville reported striking a deer on STH 11, Wayne Township. Dailey sustained minor injuries. Dailey’s 2021 Chevrolet received disabling damage and was towed from the scene. South Wayne Fire, South Wayne First Response, Green County EMS and a deputy assisted.
● 6:39 p.m. Mathew W. Wittenwyler, 41, Mount Horeb reported striking a deer on USH 151, Belmont Township. Wittenwyler reported no injuries. Wittenwyler’s 2014 Ford received disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
On November 12:
● 8:07 a.m. Ashley R. Carter, 36, Selma AL was traveling on Burr Oak RD, Kendall Township when she failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway, entered the ditch and came to a rest in a field. Carter reported no injuries. Carter’s 2017 Audi received minor damage and was driven from the scene.
● 8:51 a.m. Richard A. White, 75, Darlington reported striking a deer on CTH F, Fayette Township. White reported no injuries. White’s 2022 Dodge received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
● 5:27 p.m. Allison K. Godfrey, 21, Argyle reported striking a deer on STH 78, Argyle Township. Godfrey reported no injuries. Godfrey’s 2020 Ford received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
On November 13:
● 4:10 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 11, Village of South Wayne to assist Harrisville, UT Police with identity theft.
● 4:28 p.m. Belmont Fire and Belmont EMS responded to Center Drive RD, Elk Grove Township for a two vehicle head on collision. Shannon L. Johll, 38, Belmont was cited for No Insurance and Improper Left Turn/Approach.
● 4:51 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 11, Wayne Township for a vehicle in the ditch.
● 5:06 p.m. A deputy responded to E Water ST, City of Shullsburg for a burglary.
On November 14:
● 8:25 a.m. Timothy A White, 46, Darlington reported striking a deer on Wood RD, Darlington Township. No injuries were reported and White’s 2012 Dodge received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
● 3:34 p.m. Darlington Fire and Lafayette County EMS responded to STH 81, Seymour Township for a fire. A deputy assisted.
● 6:00 p.m. David C Thorson, 64, Argyle reported striking a deer on CTH M, Wiota Township. No injuries were reported and Thorson’s 2021 GMC received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
● 8:45 p.m. Cara R Lundt, 46, Shawano reported striking a deer on STH 11, New Diggings Township. No injuries were reported and Lundt’s 2012 Ford received severe damage and was towed from the scene.
On November 16:
● 5:06 a.m. Joslin I. Miller, 21, Gratiot reported striking a deer on STH 11, Wayne Township. Miller reported no injuries. Miller’s 2019 Kia received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
Green County Sheriff
On November 20:
● At approximately 2:03 p.m., Deputies attempted a warrant arrest in the W6600 block of Smock Valley rd., Town of Monroe. The subject, Samuel R. Schutte, 39 of Monroe, was located and taken into custody without incident. Samuel will be held at the Green County Jail pending his initial appearance.
● At approximately 7:42 a.m., Deputies and the Brodhead Police Department responded to the intersection of State Highway 11 and State Highway 81, in the Town of Spring Grove, for a two vehicle crash with no injuries. The investigation found that Tyler J. Wolf, 37, of Rockford, was traveling westbound attempting to turn left onto STH 81. Tyler J. Anthony, 29, of Waupun, was traveling on eastbound on STH 11 behind another vehicle attempting to turn onto CTH GG. As Wolf was attempting to turn, Anthony passed the vehicle ahead of him and Wolf and Anthony collided. Wolf and Anthony advised they were both wearing their seatbelts and they were uninjured. Wolf and Anthony’s vehicle both sustained disabling damage to the front end, with no airbag deployments. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
● At approximately 10:27 a.m., Deputies responded to the Green County Sheriff’s Office lobby to meet with a subject regarding a crash that occurred the previous evening. Investigation found that on Monday
● At 11:15 p.m., a vehicle operated by, Dennis G. Johnson, 66, of Monroe, was traveling west in the W5800 blk of STH 11, Monroe Township. Johnson reported seeing something out of the corner of his eye and swerving to avoid it. Johnson struck a traffic sign post on the off ramp to STH 81. Johnson continued on his way without stopping to report it and acknowledge he knew it had it the sign. Johnson advised he was wearing his seatbelt and was not injured. There was no airbag deployment in the vehicle. The vehicle sustained functional damage and was driven from the scene. Johnson was cited for Hit and Run- Property Adjacent to Highway and released with a mandatory court date.
On November 21:
● At approximately 7:42 a.m., Deputies along with Brodhead Police Officers responded to the intersection of State Highway 11 and State Highway 81, Town of Spring Grove, for a two vehicle accident. Investigations found that a vehicle operated by Tyler J Wolf, 37, of Rockford was westbound attempting to turn onto State Highway 81. A second vehicle operated by Tyler J Anthony, 29, of Waupun, was eastbound on State Highway 11. As Wolf was in the process of turning onto State Highway 81 Anthony passed a vehicle ahead of him and collided with Wolf. Wolf and Anthony both reported wearing their seatbelts, both reported no injuries, and no airbag deployment in either vehicle. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene.
On November 22:
● At 7:49 a.m., Deputies responded to a residence in the N3600 block of State Highway 81, in the Town of Monroe, for the report of a disturbance. The investigation resulted in Shane M. Segner, 44 of Monroe, being arrested for Disorderly Conduct, Criminal Damage to Property, and Bail Jumping. Segner was incarcerated at the Green County Jail pending court. The Monroe Police Department assisted at the scene.
On November 24:
● At approximately 12:34 p.m., Deputies responded to a two-vehicle motor vehicle incident on STH 69 near Gutzmer Rd., in the Town of Mount Pleasant. Payton R. Hinton, age 18 of rural Monroe, was traveling north when a south bound truck/trailer lost an unknown object. The object collided with the hood and windshield of Payton’s 2017 Jeep Renegade. Payton and her passenger reported wearing their seatbelts and were not injured in the collision. The vehicle sustained functional damage to the hood and windshield; there was no airbag deployment. The southbound vehicle was likely unaware of the incident and did not stop.
● At approximately 9:39 p.m., Deputies responded to the 2700 block of 8th Ave., City of Monroe, to attempt to place a subject into custody on a warrant through the Department of Corrections. Deputies located, and arrested, Caleb J. McIntosh, 19 of Monroe, and transported him to the Green County Jail where he will be held.
● At approximately 10:17 p.m., Deputies responded to the N8500 block of State Highway 104, Town of Brooklyn, for a car vs tractor crash. Investigation revealed a southbound operator, Ardian Shajkovci, 43 of Manchester, CN, encountered a tractor driving northbound that was partially in the south bound lane of travel. The tractor, operated by Kaden Butts, 15, side swiped Ardian’s vehicle, causing functional damage. There were no injuries in the crash, both operators were wearing their seatbelts, and there was no airbag deployment. The vehicle and tractor were driven from the scene.
● At approximately 2:37 a.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the W600 block of State Highway 11, Town of Spring Grove, for speed. Investigation resulted in the operator, Savanna M. Hemmerling, 23 of Beloit, being cited for Possession of THC - Less than 25 Grams, and was released with a mandatory court date.
Monroe Police
On November 20:
● At 6:20 p.m., officers were called to a two-vehicle accident with no reported injuries at the intersection of 6th Street and 4th Avenue. The investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Juan Hernandez, 29, Monroe, was traveling north on 4th Avenue, stopped at the stop sign at 6th Street, and entered the intersection. Upon entering the intersection, it collided with a vehicle which was southbound on 4th Avenue turning on to 6th Street, operated by a 43-year-old Monroe woman. The Hernandez vehicle sustained functional damages, and the second vehicle sustained disabling damages and was towed. Hernandez was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign and operating without a valid driver’s license. Hernandez was released pending a court appearance.
On November 22:
● At 3:21 a.m., officers conducted a traffic offense stop in the 500 block of West 21st Street. The investigation led to the arrest of Osvaldo Martell Sanchez, 33, Monroe, on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-3rd offense. Sanchez was also cited for operating left of the centerline, failure to dim headlights, failure to install ignition interlock device, and operating while revoked due to an alcohol refusal. Sanchez was also wanted on an arrest warrant from Dane County, WI. Sanchez was transported to the Green County Jail, and was later released to a responsible person after posting cash bail, pending a court appearance.
● At 8:44 a.m., officers were called to an incident in the 2000 block of 9th Street. The investigation led to the arrest of Brian J. Robinson, 27, Huntsville, AL, on two (2) counts of disorderly conduct, battery, and battery towards an elder person. Robinson was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
On November 26:
● At 3:27 a.m., officers arrested Andrew C. Moen, 33, Blanchardville, in the 1000 block of 4th Avenue West, following an investigation into persons in the City Park after closing hours. Moen was charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-1st offense and going armed with a firearm while intoxicated. Moen was also cited for open intoxicants in a motor vehicle and being in the park after hours. Moen posted cash bail and was released to a responsible person pending a court appearance.
