Green County Sheriff
On August 1:
● At approximately 1:07 p.m., Deputies, the Blanchardville Fire Department, Blanchardville EMS, and Med Flight, responded to the W8700 block of State Highway 39, Town of York, for a report of a motorcycle crash with injury. Investigation determined the operator, Chad A. Schneider, 50 of Blanchardville, was traveling east on STH 39, when he attempted to pass a vehicle in a no-passing zone. Chad was unable to negotiate the curve in the roadway after passing the vehicle and entered the ditch. Chad was ejected from the motorcycle and was not wearing a helmet. Chad sustained serious injury and was transported from the scene by Med Flight. The motorcycle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
● At approximately 7:10 p.m., Deputies, Green County EMS, and the Monroe Rural Fire Department, responded to the W5200 block of County Highway P, Town of Clarno, for a one vehicle rollover crash. Investigation determined the operator, Daryery J. Vallejos, 22 of Monroe, was traveling east when her vehicle entered the gravel shoulder of the roadway. Daryery overcorrected the vehicle, causing it to cross the roadway and go down an embankment, causing it to overturn. The vehicle came to a rest in a cornfield, sustaining disabling damage. Daryery and her three passengers all reported wearing their seatbelts and not being injured. There was no airbag deployment and the vehicle was towed from the scene. Daryery was cited for Operating Without a Valid License — 1st Offense, Operating Without Insurance and Failure to Maintain Control of her vehicle. Daryery was released with a future court date.
On August 2:
● At approximately 8:09 a.m., Deputies, the Albany Fire Department, and Brodhead EMS, responded to the N4400 block of County Highway F, Town of Decatur, for a report of a single vehicle, roll over crash. Investigation determined the operator, Michelle I.F. McCloud, 27 of Monroe, was traveling north on CTH F, when the vehicle drifted into the east gravel shoulder. Michelle over corrected the vehicle back onto the roadway, causing her to enter the west ditch and overturning the vehicle. Michelle was assisted out of the vehicle, as it came to rest on its driver side. Michelle was not injured, was wearing her seatbelt and there was no airbag deployment. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Michelle was cited for Operating Without a Valid License and Deviation from Designated Lane. Michelle was released with a future court date.
● At approximately 3:44 p.m., Deputies, the Monroe Rural Fire Department, and Monroe EMS, responded to the intersection of State Highway 69 and County Highway P, Town of Clarno, for a report of a two-vehicle crash with injury. Investigation determined the operator of a southbound vehicle, John G. Kruse, 58 of Monroe, was stopped in the roadway attempting to turn east on CTH P. At this time, another southbound vehicle, operated by Laderrick D. Coley, 26 of Freeport, crashed into the rear of John’s vehicle. John reported wearing his seatbelt and sustaining injuries. John was transported by private vehicle from the scene. John’s vehicle sustained disabling damage with no airbag deployment and was towed from the scene. Laderrick reported wearing his seatbelt and sustaining injuries. Laderrick was transported by Monroe EMS from the scene to be evaluated. Ladderick’s vehicle sustained disabling damage with airbag deployment and it was towed from the scene. Ladderick received citations for Failure to Maintain Control of his vehicle and Operating with a Suspended Registration. Ladderick was issued a future court date.
● At approximately 10:13 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of E. 9th Ave., City of Brodhead. Investigation resulted in the operator, Akia D. Rutledge, 19 of Freeport, being arrested for Operating While Under the Influence of a restricted Controlled Substance. Akia was also cited for Possession of Marijuana, Following too Close, Speeding and Operating Without a Valid Driver’s License. Akia was later released to a responsible party with a future mandatory court appearance.
● At approximately 10:36 p.m., Deputies responded to the N900 block of State Highway 69, Town of Clarno, for a report of a car vs. deer crash. After completing the crash investigation, it was found that the passenger in the vehicle, Kenneth Harris, 55 of Freeport, had two outstanding warrants through Winnebago County, WI. Kenneth was placed under arrest for the warrants and was transported to the Green County Jail pending his initial court appearance.
On August 6:
● At approximately 1:34 PM, Deputies responded to the 2800 block of 6th St, City of Monroe, for a subject with an active warrant through the Probation and Parole Office. Adam D Bliss, 40, of Monroe, was taken into custody on the warrant and incarcerated at the Green County Jail.
On August 7:
● At approximately 3:42 pm, Deputies, along with the Monticello Fire Department, Albany EMS, and Belleville EMS, responded to the W2600 block of County Highway C, Town of Mt Pleasant, for a single vehicle crash. Investigations found that a motorcycle driven by Wesley M Hartford, 58, of Darlington, was westbound on County Highway C when Hartford failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. Hartford’s motorcycle proceeded down a steep embankment. Hartford and his passenger Dorothy J Hartford, 52, of Darlington sustained injuries and were transported for further medical attention. The motorcycle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
● At approximately 6:40 PM, Deputies, the Juda Fire Department, and Green County EMS, responded to the N2000 block of Schindler Rd, Town of Jefferson, for a report of a single vehicle accident. Investigations found that a vehicle driven by Kathryn A Reidenbach, 61, of Juda, was northbound on Schindler Rd when Reidenbach advised becoming distracted and entered the West ditch. Reidenbach’s vehicle then struck an embankment. Reidenbach reported sustaining injury, reported wearing her seatbelt, and the airbags deployed. Reidenbach’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Reidenbach was cited for Inattentive Driving.
On August 9:
● At approximately 12:26 p.m., Deputies responded to the 200 block of N. Main St., Village of Monticello, for a report of a minor, two-vehicle crash. Investigation determined that Julie K. Flannery, 53 of Argyle, was attempting to back out of a parking stall while her view was briefly obstructed. A passing vehicle operated by, Cassidy C. Komprood, 17 of Monticello, struck Julie’s vehicle when it entered the lane of travel. Neither driver reported injury and both reported wearing their seatbelts. There was no airbag deployment and both vehicles were driven from the scene.
● At approximately 7:50 p.m., Deputies responded to the 600 block of E. Lake Ave., Village of Monticello, to attempt a warrant apprehension of Jonathan Detejada, 28 of Monticello. Deputies located Jonathan and placed him under arrest without incident. Jonathan was transported to the Green County Jail where he will remain pending his initial court appearance.
On August 11:
● At approximately 1:48 p.m., Deputies responded to the Green County Probation and Parole Office in the City of Monroe and arrested Robert W. Allen, 40 of Monroe, who had a Probation Hold placed on him by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. Robert was incarcerated in the Green County Jail.

On Aug 11:
● At approximately 9:20 p.m., Deputies responded to the N4300 block of County Highway N, Town of Monroe, for a single vehicle crash. The operator, Maria Tepole-Acahua, 23 of Freeport, was driving south when she lost control of her vehicle and entered the west ditch. Maria and her passenger reported wearing their seatbelts and also sustained minor injuries, but refused medical treatment. The vehicle had airbag deployment and sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Maria was subsequently placed under arrest for Operating While Under the Influence of Alcohol — 1st Offense and was cited for Operating Without a Valid License. Maria was released to a responsible party pending a future court date
On Aug 14:
● At 4:56p.m., Deputies responded to the N4500 lock of CTH E in Decatur Township for a one vehicle crash with no injuries reported. Subsequent investigation found that the vehicle was operated by Crystal A. Strommen, 33 of Walworth, WI was traveling eastbound on CTH E when the vehicle failed to negotiate a curve, striking an arrow sign and continuing down the road until it came to a stop. Strommen and her passengers reported no injuries and were wearing seatbelts. There was no airbag deployment in the vehicle and driven from the scene. Strommen was cited for Failure to Maintain Control and released with a non-mandatory court date.
● At 8:48p.m., Deputies, along with Green County EMS and Juda first response responded the W3600 block of Middle Juda Road in Jefferson Township for a motor vehicle crash with injuries. A subsequent investigation found that a vehicle operated by Carrie A. Thompson, 46 of Monroe was travelling eastbound on Greenbush road when she saw several deer in the roadway and then slowed down. Then more deer came out of the ditch causing her to overcorrect and enter the ditch on the north side of the roadway, striking a power pole. Both she and her passenger reported wearing their seatbelts and there was no airbag deployment in the vehicle. Both subjects were transported by ambulance for injuries that they had sustained. The vehicle was towed from the scene. Thompson was cited for Failure to Maintain Control and released with a non-mandatory court date.
On August 15:
● At approximately 3:29 p.m., Deputies responded to the W8500 block of County Highway B, Town of Cadiz, for a report of a verbal altercation. Investigations resulted in Nicole K.K. Hull, 39, of Browntown, being arrested for disorderly conduct. Hull was transported to the Green County Jail.
On Aug 16:
● At approximately 1:21 a.m., Deputies stopped a vehicle in the W100 block of State Highway 11, Town of Spring Grove, for speeding. Investigations resulted in the driver, Luis A Toledo, 19, of Monroe, being cited for operating without a valid license (2nd within three years) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Toldeo was released with a court date.
● At 8:54 a.m., deputies responded to the N4500 block of State Highway 104, in Decatur Township, for a reported vehicle in the ditch. Investigation found that a vehicle operated by Sarah Uhalt, 42, of Madison was operating a city of Madison truck southbound on State Highway 104, pulling a small trailer. She lost control of the vehicle and entered the ditch on the west side of the road. The back of the dump box on the truck struck the front of the trailer causing damage. There was no damage to the truck. She advised she was wearing a seatbelt, and reported no injuries. I observed no airbag deployment. The vehicle was towed from the scene. The trailer sustained moderate damage to the front end.
● At 10:30 a.m., Deputies were advised of a hit and run that occurred at 8:25 am, in the N6200 block of STH 69 in Washington township. Investigation found that Cheryl Wells, 62 of Browntown was northbound on STH 69 was traveling in the right lane, when a white sporty vehicle passed her traveling close to her when she got to her destination found damage indicating that the vehicle had struck her. She described the vehicle as white and sporty Cheryl stated that the vehicle continued northbound on STH 69 and turned right into Monticello on West Coates Avenue.
● At 10:12 p.m., deputies responded to the N8800 block of Blue Vista Ln, in New Glarus Township, for a complaint. Deputies stopped a vehicle, operated by Mason D. Krantz, 17, of Belleville, was stopped and the subsequent investigation resulted in Mason being placed under arrest for operating while under the influence. Mason was additionally cited for operating with a prohibited alcohol content (absolute sobriety). Mason was later released to a responsible party.
On Aug 17:
● At approximately 2:52 p.m., Deputies responded to the W8700 block of State Highway 11, Town of Cadiz, for a report of a two-vehicle crash with no injury.Investigation determined an east bound vehicle being driven by Ronald L. Webb, 66 of Browntown, was struck by another eastbound vehicle that was attempting to pass on the right. Ronald sustained no injuries, reported wearing his seatbelt and there was no airbag deployment. The operator of the second vehicle, Cody A. Pendelton, 30 of Darlington, was also not injured, reported wearing his seatbelt and there was no airbag deployment. No citations were issued in this crash due to conflicting stories and both vehicles were driven from the scene.
● At approximately 3:16 p.m., Deputies responded to the 200 block of N. Water St., Village of Albany, for a report of a subject, Mark A. Flood, 56 of Albany, causing damage to vehicles in a parking lot. Investigation resulted in Mark being placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct. Further events that took place at a medical facility after Mark’s arrest resulted in him also being charged with an additional count of Disorderly Conduct, 3 counts of Battery to a Law Enforcement Officer and 2 counts of Expelling Bodily Fluids on a Law Enforcement Officer. Mark was jailed pending his initial appearance.
● At approximately 1:08 a.m., Deputies located a vehicle traveling southbound that appeared to have abandoned three adults and a child on the side of the road. Investigation determined the operator of the vehicle, Jada K. Vijil, 22 of Rockford, got into a verbal argument with a passenger, Taquaysha T. Burnell, 22 of Rockford. The verbal argument eventually turned physical which resulted in Jada having all of the passengers exit her vehicle. Further interviews and investigations resulted in Jada being placed under arrest for Operating While Under the Influence of a Restricted Controlled Substance — 1st Offense. Jada was also cited for Disorderly Conduct, Possession of THC and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Jada was released to a responsible party with a future court date. Taquaysha was subsequently arrested for Simple Battery. Taquaysha was booked and released at the Green County Jail on this charge. Taquaysha was also issued a citation for Possession of THC and Disorderly Conduct.
Darlington Police
On August 8:
● Jesus Cargasal, age 46, of Darlington, was arrested at approximately 11:34 p.m., for OWI first offense following a traffic stop on Louisa Street. Cargasal was also cited for operating without a valid license and possessing open intoxicants. His passenger, Willians Ariel Medina-Galindo, age 23, of Galena, IL, was cited for possessing open intoxicants in a motor vehicle.
On August 9
● Paul H. Kraus, age 52, of Darlington, was cited for storage of junk following an ordinance violation on Wisconsin Street.
On Aug 12:
● Nester Artica-Lago, age 32, of Darlington, was arrested at approximately 1:30 p.m. for operating while intoxicated 1st offense, following a traffic stop on Washington ST. Artica-Lago was also cited for possession of open intoxicants, no insurance, and operating without a valid license. Artica-Lago was also booked into the Lafayette County Jail for disorderly conduct for a disturbance that happened earlier at a residence on Washington ST. Artica-Lago was later released after posting bond.
On Aug 13:
● Martin A. Tula-Juaregui, age 19, of Dallas, GA was cited Saturday at approximately 12:59 a.m. for possession of THC and operating without a valid license following a traffic stop on STH 81.
Monroe Police
On Aug 11:
● At approximately 3:24 p.m., officers responded to the 700 block of 16th Avenue, for a report of possible bond conditions being violated. Subsequent investigation resulted in Mark A. Zakula, 69, Monroe being arrested for Bail Jumping. Mark was taken to the Green County Jail, where he was held on a Probation Violation.
On August 14:
● At approximately 2:21 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1000 block of 19th Street. Investigation resulted in the driver, Seth A. Paulson ,24, Gratiot, being arrested for Operating a Motor Vehicle while Under the Influence 1st Offense. Seth was also cited for Non-Registration of a motor Vehicle. Seth was later released to a responsible party, pending a mandatory court appearance.
On Aug 15:
● At 5:43 p.m. officers arrested Toneisa L. Readus, 54, Freeport for retail theft, following a shoplifting complaint at a business in the 300 block of 6th Ave. West. Readus was confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceedings.
Brodhead Police
On July 18:
● 2:46 p.m., Police responded to the 2100 block of 1st Center Ave. for Suspicious Activity; a subject standing around the front of the business. Contact was made and the subject left the property.
● 7:07 p.m., Police responded to the 1500 block of 1st Center Ave. for the report of a Traffic Complaint; a subject driving a dirt bike on the roadway. Contact was made and a warning was issued.
● 7:39 p.m., a 33 year old Winnebago, IL, man was arrested in the 1000 block of 1st Center Ave. on warrants issued by the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office, Naperville IL Police Department and the Rockford Police Department. He was also charged with Resisting / Obstructing an Officer and Disorderly Conduct.
On July 19:
● 4:25 p.m., Police responded to the 600 block of 5th St. for the report of an Animal Problem; a dog at large. The owner was contacted and picked up the dog.
On July 20:
● 4:25 p.m., Police responded to the 400 block of 5th St for the report of an Animal Problem; dog at large. Contact with owner was made and dog was returned to owner.
