Brodhead Police

On March 13:

● 4:32 p.m., a 52 year old Evansville man was cited in the 100 block of 10th St. for Unsafe Passing following a traffic crash.

On March 15:

● 7:26 p.m., Police responded to the 1000 block of 21st St. for the report of Fraud; money taken from a bank account. This matter remains under investigation.

On March 17:

● 3:14 p.m., Police responded to the 1200 block of 1st Center Ave. for the report of Harassment; unwanted contact. Contact was made and a warning was issued. 

● 8:21 p.m., a 77 year old Beloit man was cited in the 100 block of 1st St. for Unauthorized Display of Registration.

On March 18:

● 3:01 p.m., Police responded to the 100 block of W 3rd Ave. for the report of an Animal Problem; a dog at large. The owner was contacted and a warning was issued.

On March 21:

● 12:51 p.m., Police responded to the 200 block of 23rd St. for the report of a Traffic Crash; a subject hit a traffic sign. This is a non-reportable crash report; no citations were issued.

● 12:57 p.m., Police responded to the 2100 block of W 9th Ave. for the report of a Drug / Narcotic violation. It was determined that drugs were not involved; this matter will be handled internally by the school.

On March 24:

● 11:51 a.m., a 24 year old Beloit man was cited in the 1900 block of 1st Center Ave. for Unsafe Passing on the Right.


Monticello Police

On March 13:

● At approximately 10:13 a.m., Officers received information of an ordinance violation.  A citizen allowed their dog to defecate in someone’s property.  The matter is under investigation. 

● At approximately 6:11 p.m., Officers conducted a traffic stop for an observed traffic violation in the 500 block of S. Monroe Street.  As a result of the traffic stop, Justin R. Blum, 26, of Monticello was cited for operating a motor vehicle with no proof of insurance.  There is a presumption of innocence until proven guilty. 

● At approximately 6:44 p.m., Officers conducted a traffic stop for an observed traffic violation in the 500 block of S. Monroe Street.  As a result of the traffic stop, Brayden W. Ryan, 19, of Monticello was cited for operating a motor vehicle with no proof of insurance.  There is a presumption of innocence until proven guilty.   

On March 14:

● At approximately 8:29 a.m., Officers responded within the Village for an emergency medical call.  Green County EMS and Monticello First Response also responded. 

On March 15:

● At approximately 7:15 a.m., Officers responded to the Village of Blanchardville under a mutual aid request.
