On March 23:

● 6:01 a.m. Gerard J. Grimm, 60, Mineral Point, reported striking a deer on CTH G, Argyle Township. No injuries were reported and Grimm’s 2013 Honda received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

● 6:31 a.m. A deputy responded to Palfrey RD, New Diggings Township, to keep the peace.

● 8:44 a.m. Linda K. Hanson, 68, Blanchardville, reported striking a deer on South RD, Wiota Township. No injuries were reported and the 2004 GMC operated by Hanson received moderate damage.

● 10:42 a.m. Jared M. Kearney, 36, Maquoketa, IA, was transported from the Jackson County Jail to the Lafayette County Jail where he was booked on a valid Lafayette County Warrant. Kearney remains in custody.

● 11:45 a.m. A deputy encountered a disabled vehicle on STH 11, Shullsburg Township.

Anthony T Wedig, 85, Belmont was backing out of a parking lot in his 2014 Chevrolet when he struck a 2017 Lincoln. No injuries were reported and both vehicles drove away from the scene with minor damage.

● 10:56 p.m. Blanchardville EMS responded to Madison ST in the Village for a medical emergency. A deputy assisted on scene. 

On March 28:

● 1:02 a.m. Deputies responded to STH 11, Wayne Township for a traffic complaint. As a result Beh T. Paw, 20, Rockford was arrested for Eluding and cited for Reckless Driving and Operating under the Influence (1st). Paw was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and remains. Paw’s passenger, Cameron B. Walston, 28, Rockford was arrested for Obstruction. Walston was also transported to Lafayette County Jail where he was booked on his charge and later released after posting bond. Grant County, Green County, Brodhead Police, Darlington Police and Lafayette County EMS assisted on scene. 

● 5:14 a.m. Sarah R. Grunenwald, 33, Cuba City reported striking a deer on Twin Bridge RD, Benton Township. Grunenwald’s 2014 Chevrolet received moderate damage and was driven from the scene. 

● 9:53 a.m. Benton First Response and Hazel Green EMS responded to Whaley CT, Village of Benton for a medical emergency. Benton Police assisted on scene. 

● 1:54 p.m. Lafayette County EMS responded to E Lucy ST, City of Darlington for a medical emergency. Darlington Police assisted on scene.

● 6:34 p.m. Robert E Ernzen, 57, Belmont reported striking a deer on Holland RD, Kendall Township. No injuries reported and Ernzen’s 2007 Ford received severe damage and was driven from the scene.

● 2:09 p.m. Darlington Fire and Lafayette County EMS responded to Galena ST, City of Darlington for a gas leak. 

3:19 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 78, Gratiot Township for a traffic hazard.

● 4:56 p.m. A deputy responded to E Truth ST, City of Shullsburg for found property. 

5:34 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH W, New Diggings Township for livestock in the roadway. 

● 6:58 p.m. Benton Fire and Benton First Response responded to Hilldale RD for a utility pole on fire. 

● 7:12 p.m. Belmont Fire and deputies responded to Heinz RD, Belmont Township for a report of trees, poles, and building damage. Additional storm damage reports were received by Lafayette County Dispatch at STH 126, Elk Grove Township for power poles snapped.  Also CTH XX, Belmont Township for a traffic hazard. Calls were also received  for Mitchell Hollow RD, Belmont Township, for multiple power poles snapped and power outages. Also, CTH F, Seymour Township for storm damage. A collapsed grain bin blocking the road was reported on CTH G, Belmont Township.  Downed trees and building damage was reported on E Mound RD, Belmont Township. Debris on the roadway was reported on CTH E, Darlington Township.  Cattle in the roadway was reported on Holland RD, Elk Grove Township. A collapsed barn was reported on Jericho RD, Kendall Township.  

● 7:15 p.m. Darlington Fire, Lafayette County EMS responded to Furnace Hill RD, Darlington Township for a barn fire. Argyle Fire, Belmont Fire, Blanchardville Fire, Gratiot Fire, Mineral Point Fire, Shullsburg Fire, Wiota Fire, and Darlington Police assisted on scene. 

● 11:13 p.m. Deputies responded to Apple Branch RD, Argyle Township to assist Green County Sheriff’s Office.

On April 1:

● 12:29 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 11, Village of South Wayne for a vehicle lockout.

● 12:35 p.m. A deputy responded to Trotter LN, Argyle Township for a check welfare. 

● 3:56 p.m. A deputy responded to Country Club RD, Darlington Township for a vehicle lockout.

● 4:07 p.m. Lafayette County EMS responded to E Catherine ST, City of Darlington for a medical emergency. 

● 6:38 p.m. Charles B. Kesler, 28, Belvidere was cited for Expired Registration on STH 81, Seymour Township.

● 6:46 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 11, City of Shullsburg for a two vehicle accident. Deborah M. Cullen, 60, Shullsburg was backing out of a parking stall in her 2013 Chevrolet when her vehicle was backed into by a 2002 Infiniti driven by Jose Marlon, 27, Shullsburg. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles received minor damage and were driven from the scene.

● 10:40 p.m. Blanchardville EMS responded to Mason ST in the Village for a medical emergency. Blanchardville Police assisted on scene. 

● 10:54 p.m. A deputy responded to E Pleasant ST, Village of South Wayne for a traffic complaint. As a result Dustin J. Olson, 33, Monroe was cited for Operating after Suspension, Non Registration of Auto, Unnecessary Acceleration, and Parking Violation.

On April 2:

● 12:18 a.m. Darlington Fire responded to Furnace Hill RD, Darlington Township for a fire. Darlington Police assisted on scene. 

● 12:41 a.m. Darlington Fire responded to a  mutual aide call to CTH S, Mineral Point for a barn fire. 

● 12:52 a.m. David A. Wills, 16, Gratiot was cited for Operating after Suspension on STH 78, Wiota Township. 

● 1:24 a.m. Deputies responded to N Mineral ST, City of Shullsburg for a check welfare.

● 3:44 p.m. A deputy responded to Old Q RD, Blanchard Township for a complaint concerning explosives.

Busch was also cited for Operating without a Valid Driver’s License and Possession of THC. His passenger, Carrie A Gollackson, 39, also from Apple River was cited for Possession of Open Intoxicants.

● 9:51 a.m. Wendy L Cook, 57, Argyle reported striking a deer on STH 78, Argyle Township. No injuries were reported and Cook’s 2015 Toyota received minor damage and was driven from the scene.

● 11:37 a.m. A deputy responded to STH 78, Argyle Township for a 911 misdial.

● 11:57 a.m. Darlington Fire and Lafayette County EMS responded to Galena ST in the City for a one vehicle accident. Darlington Police assisted on scene.

● 4:54 p.m. Blanchardville Fire responded to Gould Hill RD, Blanchard Township for a grass fire. Argyle Fire assisted.

● 5:24 p.m. Joshua J Paquette, 31, Shullsburg reported striking a deer on STH 23, Darlington Township. No injuries were reported and Paquette’s 2017 Dodge received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

● 8:40 p.m. Deputies responded to Lacey RD, Wayne Township for disorderly conduct. Zachary J Blackwood, 20, South Wayne was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Battery. Blackwood was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where he remains in custody.

● 10:09 p.m. Lafayette County EMS responded to King RD, Willow Springs Township for a medical emergency. 

● 10:30 p.m. Abiel Carmona-Fragoso, 16, Darlington was cited for Operating without a Valid License on STH 81, Argyle Township. 

On April 11:

● 1:48 a.m. Porfirio Zavaleta-Hernandez, 46, Belmont was arrested on STH 81, Elk Grove Township for Reckless Driving, Operating after Revocation and Operating While Intoxicated (2nd). Zavaleta-Hernandez was transported to Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and later released after posting bond. Zavaleta-Hernandez was also cited for Speeding.

● 6:23 a.m. Meagan R. Braun, 22, Pecatonica Ill. Reported striking a deer on CTH B, Belmont Township. Braun’s 2013 Volkswagen received moderate damage and was driven from the scene. 

● 7:37 a.m. Lafayette County EMS responded to Fayette RD, Darlington Township for a medical emergency. Darlington Police assisted on scene. 

● 7:50 a.m. A deputy responded to Ollie Bell RD, Benton Township for an injured animal. 

● 7:53 a.m. Deputies responded to E Center ST, Village of South Wayne for a threatening complaint. As a result Jon F. Satterlee, 41, Gratiot was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Threatening. Satterlee was transported to Lafayette County Jail where he was booked on his charges and later released.

Brodhead Police

On March 25:

● 7:39 p.m., a 36 year old Madison man was cited in the 400 block of 1st St. for Operating after Suspension and Speeding.

● 10:18 p.m., a parking citation was issued in the 500 block of 1st Center Ave. for violation of the City’s Winter Parking ordinance.

On March 26:

● 8:49 p.m., Police responded to the 100 block of 10th St. for Bail Jumping; a subject in violation of his conditions of bond. This matter was referred to the Green County District Attorney’s office.

● 11:54 p.m., Police responded to the 1600 block of 19th St. for the report of an Animal Problem; a dog at large. The owner was contacted and the dog was returned.

On March 28:

● 12:46 a.m., a 20 year old Rockford, IL, man was arrested for Knowingly Fleeing/Eluding an Officer following an attempt to stop the vehicle in the 1000 block of 1st Center Ave. He was also cited for Exceed Zone and Posted Limits and Unnecessary Acceleration.

● 8:08 a.m., Police responded to the 2500 block of W 5th Ave. for the report of a Traffic Crash; a vehicle hit a light pole. As this incident occurred on private property, no citations were issued.

● 1:11 p.m., a 28 year old Brodhead man was cited in the 1200 block of 16th St. for Vicious Dog/Animal,  Animal Running at Large, Vaccination Required, and Dog License after the report of an Animal Bite.

On March 30:

● 1:57 p.m., a 51 year old Brodhead man was cited in the 300 block of 23rd St. for Operating after Suspension.

On March 31:

● 12:28 p.m., Police responded to the 2500 block of 1st Center Ave. for the report of Disorderly Conduct. This matter remains under investigation.

● 1:14 p.m., a 60 year old Brodhead man was cited in the 300 block of 15th St. for Improper Pass, Turn School Bus.

● 3:43 p.m., Police responded to the 100 block of 10th St. for the report of Burglary; forced entry into a residence. This matter remains under investigation.

On April 2:

● 9:56 a.m., Police responded to the 900 block of 19th St. for the report of Theft; items removed from an unlocked vehicle. This matter remains under investigation. 

● 10:29 a.m., Police responded to the 900 block of 19th St. for the report of Theft; items removed from an unlocked vehicle. This matter remains under investigation.

● 12 :21 p.m., Police responded to the 1100 block of W 5th Ave. for the report of a Code Violation; a lot line dispute. This matter remains under investigation.

● 9:51 p.m., Police responded to the 1400 block of 2l81 St. for Suspicious Activity; an unidentified subject on the property. Police checked the area but did not locate the subject or any other suspicious activity.

● 11 :45 p.m., a 63 year old Beloit man was arrested in the 1100 block of 1st Center Ave. for Bail Jumping and Operating after Revocation/ Alcohol Related.

On April 3:

● 10:36 a.m., Police responded to the 700 block of 1st Center Ave. for the report of Theft; items of an undisclosed value were taken. This matter remains under investigation.

● 2:04 p.m., Police responded to the 1000 block of 19th St. for the report of Suspicious Activity; vehicle reportedly gone through. Case pulled for information only.

● 4:06 p.m., Police responded to the 2600 block of 1st Center Ave. for the report of Suspicious Activity; a vehicle at a closed business that the caller did not recognize. Police checked the area and determined the vehicle belonged to a subject at a neighboring business. No other suspicious activity was located.

● 12:29 p.m., Police responded to the 1000 block of 16th St. for the report of Harassment; a subject receiving unwanted phone calls. Contact was made and a warning was issued.
