Larry A. Bidlingmaier, age 67 of Winslow, Illinois, died on Sunday, July 6, 2008 at Freeport Memorial Hospital. He was born on March 29, 1941 in Monroe, WI, the son of Alvin and Marian (Augsburger) Bidlingmaier and graduated in 1959 from Lena-Winslow High School. Larry married Marcia Trumpy and they farmed in the Winslow area. Larry was a life member of Martintown Community Church. He farmed all his life in the Winslow area. Larry enjoyed golfing, playing cards, and spending time with family, friends and especially his grandchildren.

Larry is survived by his mother, Marian Bidlingmaier of Monroe, WI; sons, Layne (Erin) Bidlingmaier of Winslow, IL and Neil Bidlingmaier of Winslow, IL; daughters, Tana (Jason) Stieve of Lombard, IL and Tami (Duane Chad) Tempel of Browntown, WI; grandchildren, Austin Coplien, Logan Bidlingmaier, Grace and Jenna Bidlingmaier, and Ariel, Isabelle, and Payton Stieve; brothers, Bob (Georgean) Bidlingmaier of Walnut Creek, CA, Claire (Sue) Bidlingmaier of Colorado Springs, CO, and Jim (Jill) Bidlingmaier of Madison, WI; sister, Sue (Paul) Dellwo of Redwood City, CA; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father and former wife.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 11, 2008 at Martintown Community Church with Pastor Kevin Cernek officiating. Burial will be in Rock Lily Cemetery in Winslow, Illinois.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home, 1455 Mansion Drive and 18th Avenue in Monroe, WI.

A memorial fund is being established in Larry's memory.

We will remember Larry as a Christian Man, committed to family and friends. His smile, laughter, kindness and integrity will truly be missed not only by his grandchildren, but by all knew him as "Papa."
