Kathleen M. Ostrom, 69, of Monroe, Wisconsin, formerly of Aurora, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Presence Mercy Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 11, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois.
Kathleen was a graduate of Holy Angels Grade School and West Aurora High School. She was employed at Monroe Clinic for 38 years, and was currently working with the disabled at Greenco Industries. Kathleen was a member of the Catholic Daughters, the St. Vincent DePaul Society and the Disciples of Mercy of St. Clare of Assisi Parish at St. Victor Catholic Church in Monroe, Wisconsin, the Apostolate to the Handicapped, the Cursillo in Christianity, and the Big Brothers/Big Sisters.
Survivors include her mother, Lois Wright of Aurora; three brothers, Thomas (Gail) Wright, Jack (Melinda) Wright and Daniel (Laura) Wright all of Aurora; three sisters, Nancy (Kyle) Olexa of Lake Zurich, Linda (Thomas) Kasper of Naperville and Beth (Marty) Lachat of Aurora; twenty four nieces and nephews; twelve great nieces and nephews; numerous cousins and friends; her step-daughter, Sherri (Jerry) Wheeler of Evansville, IN; two granddaughters, Natasha and Ashley; and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Shawn W. Ostrom in 2016; her father, Robert Wright; and her brother, William Wright.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Clare of Assisi Parish at St. Victor Catholic Church, 1416 20th Ave, in Monroe, with Monsignor Larry Bakke celebrant. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 26th, from 4:00-7:00 PM at SHRINER-HAGER-GOHLKE funeral home, 1455 Mansion Dr. and 18th Ave. in Monroe, WI.
