June A. (Constance) Gissing, age 79, died on February 3, 2010. She was born on July 21, 1930 in Washington, D.C., the daughter of Kermit and Lousie (Ballard) Aleshire. She graduated from Washington-Lee High School, Arlington, VA, in 1948.

June married Wilbert "Bill" Miller on October 30, 1948 in Arlington, VA and he passed away on August 20, 1979. She later married Harold Gissing on June 12, 1982 in Monroe, WI.

June worked for the CIA in Washington D.C. for 4 years, the National Bank of Fairfax, in Fairfax, VA, from 1964 to 1970. June and her first husband moved to Wisconsin in June of 1970. Then she worked for the Green Co. Veteran's Service Office from March 1971 until retiring in June of 1991.

She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Zilmer Riley American Legion Post #84 Auxiliary, Cecil Jones V.F.W. Post #2312 Auxiliary, past member Women of the Moose Chapter #599. She enjoyed gardening, dancing and loved attending her grandchildren and great-grandchildren's activities.

She is survived by her husband, Harold Gissing of Monroe; children, Brenda (Keith) Ingwell and Randall (Judy) Miller, both of Monroe; grandchildren, Bradley (April) Moellenberndt, Terri (Stuart) Grossen, Patti (Tony) Wilhite and Melissa (Chris) Wuebben and great-grandchildren, Brady, Alec, Kade, Makenzie, Landon and Abigail; step-grandchildren, Kayla Zimmerman and family, Kara Ziegemeier and family, Kim Dowdal and family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilbert on August 20, 1979; and a sister, Maxine McGonigall on March 24, 2002.

Services will be held at noon on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at SHRINER-HAGER-GOHLKE FUNERAL HOME, with Reverend William T. Mike Heath officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.

A memorial fund is being established in June's name.
