Judith A. Skattum nee Anibas, age 63 of Argyle, WI passed away Sunday, July 5, 2009 at New Glarus Nursing Home in New Glarus, WI. She was born May 24, 1946 in Monroe, WI, the daughter of Paul and Elaine (Gilbertson) Skattum. Judi graduated from Argyle High School and later attended Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire, WI. Judith worked as a CNA at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire, WI and later worked at St. Clare Hospital, at the Monroe Manor, and Pleasant View Nursing Home all in Monroe. She was married to David Benson. They were blessed with two daughters.

Judi is survived by her father: Paul Skattum of Argyle; two daughters: Dana (Michael) Weber of Monroe, WI, and JoLaine (Anthony) Hamwey of Billerica, MA; two grandchildren: Justin and Jared Weber, both of Monroe; and one brother: Nathan (Diane) Skattum of Argyle. She was preceded in death by her mother: Elaine; and her grandparents: Sever and Alice Skattum and Gustav and Olga Gilbertson.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 10, 2009 at Apple Grove Lutheran Church, 4501 Apple Grove Church Road in Argyle with Rev. Daniel L. Bohlman officiating. Burial will be in Apple Grove Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2009 at the Erickson Funeral Home in Argyle. The family would like to thank the staff at New Glarus Nursing Home for all of the fine care over the past three years and to Monroe Clinic Hospice over the past two weeks.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Judi's name.
