Joyce E. Lisser, age 84 of Albany, died Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Monroe Clinic Hospital. She was born on April 11, 1932 in Brooklyn, WI, the daughter of Jesse and Hazel (Smith) Lloyd. She graduated from Brooklyn High School. Joyce married Elmer H. Lisser on December 6, 1952, in Dubuque, Iowa. She worked as a nurse's Aid, a telephone operator, a waitress and then she worked in housekeeping for 10 years at preferred living and 20 years at Riverview apartments in Albany. She enjoyed flowers and feeding the birds, especially the humming birds. She enjoyed her cats, Snowball and Cookie.

She is survived by her children: Gail Stout and Vicky (Curtis) Hatlevig, both of Antwerp, OH, Debra (Fiancee David) Lisser of Montello, WI, Cheryl (Perry) Graber of Monticello, Robert (Cheryl) Lisser of Albany and Martha (Steve) Lisser of Albany; brother, Kenneth (Roberta) Lloyd of Brooklyn; sisters: Ruth Hall of Spring Green, WI and Roberta Hartwig of Monroe; 25 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Matt; 2 grandchildren, Ryan Hatlevig and Sherry Rank Jarosz; 3 brothers: Roger and 2 in infancy; 2 sisters: Joanne Nelson and Loretta Lisser.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home, with Pastor Randy Booth officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Albany. A visitation will be Thursday, May 26, from 10:00 am until the time of service.
