Joseph P. Knox, 55, of McHenry passed away Sunday, July 21, 2013 at his home.
Born September 20, 1957 in Woodstock, he was the son of Robert W. Sr. and Norma (nee Hiller) Knox. Joe was a 1976 graduate of Crystal Lake Central High School and continued his education at McHenry County Community College.
Joseph was the former manager of Turnberry Country Club in Lakewood and Prestwick Country Club in Frankfort. He volunteered his time at Centegra Hospital-McHenry and enjoyed golf, boating and sailing, vacations, and especially spending time with his family.
Joseph is survived by his daughter, Ayshia Knox of Tinley Park, IL; his former wife, Renea Knox of Tinley Park, IL; his mother, Norma Knox of Monroe, WI; siblings Michael Knox of Fort Atkinson, IL, Judy (Kenneth) Stoerp of Huntley, IL, Janet Weidner of Lake Barrington, IL, Theodore Knox of Monroe, WI; Timothy (Cheryl) Knox of Monroe, WI, Mary (Alan) Hafferkamp of Rockton, IL, Robert W. (Kelly) Knox, Jr. of Monroe, WI, and Annette (Chris) Adrian of Rolling Meadows, IL; many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and best friends Ted Ziarkowski and Jerry Collins.
Preceding him in death were his father, Robert W. Knox, Sr. and brother, James John Knox.
The family will be receiving friends at 9am, Saturday, July 27 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley IL where the Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30am. Interment will be private.
