John N. Bos age 85 of Monroe, Wisconsin died Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Pleasant View Nursing Home. He was born February 24, 1925 at Oak Park, Illinois the son of Nanko and Alice (Barrett) Bos. John graduated from Oak Park/River Forest Township High School in Oak Park, Illinois in 1942 and from Northwestern University Technological Institute in Evanston, Illinois in 1948. He entered the U.S. Army Air Force in 1943, was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in 1944, graduated from Air Force Radar Maintenance School in 1945, and was discharged on January 20, 1946.

John and Marjorie Shaft were married on November 17, 1945 at the Methodist Church in Great Bend, Kansas. They lived in Evanston, Illinois, Lena, Illinois, and Monroe, Wisconsin where he founded Mr. Ink which he owned & operated from 1975 to 2009 when he retired. John was a member of Monroe United Methodist Church, former member & President of Monroe Rotary Club, and is a Paul Harris Fellow.

Surviving are his daughters, Janet Lefevre & Joanne Froman of Monroe, WI; granddaughters, Jenna Lefevre, Monique Lefevre, & Lauren Froman; and great-grandchildren, Natasha Lefevre & Alex Jones. He was predeceased by his Parents; Wife; and brothers, Harold & James Bos.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Monroe United Methodist Church with Rev. Randy Booth officiating.

Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Monroe.

Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the church.

A Memorial Fund is being established in John's memory.
