Joe B. Milks passed away Sunday, September 15, 2013 at his home. Born July 15, 1933 in Spring Grove Township, Wis., he was the son of Merrill and Faye Milks. He grew up in the Brodhead area and moved to the Davis area in the 1960s. He and Esther Heyel were united in marriage in Monroe, Wis. Surviving are his wife of Freeport, daughter Linda (Pete) Alber of Rock City and their children Holly Alber, Vincent Alber and Eshell (Bradley) Edler, great-grandsons due soon Jackson Paul Alber and Maximus Alan Edler; son Troy (Vickie) Milks of Rock City and their children Jesse (Erica) Milks and their daughter Rhian Paisley Milks, Seth Milks; sister Margaret Grendahl and niece Heidi Waddell. Preceding him in death are his parents, two brothers and two sisters. Visitation will be Tuesday September 17, 2013 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Davis Faith Community Church, 212 W. McKimmy St. Davis. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Faith Community Church with Pastor Bob Kolb officiating. Burial will be at the Davis Cemetery.
