Joann C. Ginner, age 76, of Monroe, was taken from us unexpectedly due to a fall at her home on Saturday, March 7, 2009. She was born on May 27, 1932 in Monroe the daughter of Peter and Bessie (Lehman) Meyer. She was a 1950 graduate of Monroe High School. Joann and Keith Ginner were married on October 31, 1964. Jo was a secretary for the Borden and Dorman Cheese Companies. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ and of the Monroe Lion's Club. Jo was also an avid camper, card player, and great friend to many.

Surviving is her husband, Keith Ginner of Monroe; daughter, Tina (Tron) Melzl of Mukwonago; grandson, Henry, and best canine friend, Pety. She is predeceased by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at St. John's United Church of Christ. Officiating will be Rev. Gretchen Sylvester, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery in Monroe. A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established in Joann's memory.
