Jill B. "Sis" Schwartz, age 69 of Darlington, WI, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2008 at Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County in Darlington. She was born May 30, 1938 in Lamont township, Lafayette County, WI, the daughter of Howard A. and Myrtle A. (Ott) Prine. Sis was united in marriage to Lyle J. Schwartz on June 23, 1956 at Lamont United Methodist Church. She lived in the Darlington area all of her life. Sis worked at Advance Transformer in Platteville, WI from 1979 until 1997 and later at ITW in Darlington for six years.
Sis is survived by her husband, Lyle, at home; five children, Coleen (Mark) Wedig of Des Moines, IA, Dean (Julie) Schwartz of Savage, MN, Carla (Kelly) Morgan of Galesville, WI, Tony (Maggie) Schwartz of Mundelein, IL, Dixie Schwartz of Des Moines; three brothers, Paul (Rosemary) Prine of Darlington, Robert (Patsy) Prine of Dubuque, IA, Jerry (Bev) Prine of Loves Park, IL; two sisters, Carol (Bill) Kieffer of Appleton, WI, Bessie Johnson of rural Darlington; special friend, Betty Parkinson of Darlington; 18 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; two cockatiels: Babe and Curious.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2008 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Darlington with Rev. Lee J. Smith of Community Evangelical Free Church of Shullsburg officiating. Burial will be at Union Grove Cemetery, Darlington. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Erickson Funeral Home in Darlington.
