TOWN of PRIMROSE/BELLEVILLE - Jerry Edward Foster, age 67, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2008 at his home in the Town of Primrose. He was born on June 16, 1941, the son of Earl and Hattie Foster in New Glarus. Jerry was a graduate from the New Glarus High School. On October 22, 1960 he was united in marriage to the former Alice Barbara Mueller at the Swiss United Church of Christ in New Glarus. Following high school Jerry had worked as a body man at the Chevrolet dealership in New Glarus and worked for Canteen Vending; he had retired as a truck driver for Brunsell Lumber in Madison. Jerry loved classic Chevrolets and Elvis. He enjoyed feeding the stray cats that happened by the house and maintaining his yard and grounds to create a park like setting, and playing Santa during his favorite holiday of Christmas because he was still a kid at heart.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Alice of Belleville; two daughters, Jane (Garrison) Ott of New Glarus and Debra Foster and special friend Stan Slaney of New Glarus; four grandchildren, Sarah, Emily, Gerry, and Jamie; and two brothers, Ronald (Blanche) Foster of New Glarus, and William (Sharon) Foster of New Glarus.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Cleo.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 30, 2008 at the Zentner-Beal Funeral Home, 29 6th Ave., New Glarus, WI, with Pastor Patty Marty and the Rev. Meg Shepherd officiating with burial to follow in the Swiss Church Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 29, 2008 at the Zentner-Beal Funeral Home, 29 6th Ave., New Glarus, WI.

A memorial fund has been established.

Jerry will be greatly missed by his loving family.
