Jerrold W. "Jerry" Zuhlke, age 64 of Monroe, died following an illness on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at University Hospital in Madison with his family by his side.
Jerry was born September 14, 1943 in Monroe, the son of the late William and Rose (Mahlkuch) Zuhlke. He graduated from Monroe High School in 1961 and farmed on the Zuhlke home farm in Clarno Township until 1993. He then worked for United Building Centers in Monroe, Brodhead F.S., and the McConnell farms.
He most recently was employed at Monroe Pick'N Save.
Jerry was a member of Monroe Moose Lodge #754, Green County Pork Producers, Farm Bureau, and the Poland China Breeders Assoc. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed watching sports especially the Bears, Cubs, and Badgers.
Survivors include a sister, Carol (William) Blum of Brodhead; three nieces and a nephew, Laurie (Chris) Thommen, Cherri Fields, Greg (Kathryn) Blum, and Julie (Patrick) Harrington; 10 great-nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Judy Miller of Monroe.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2008, at the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, Monroe.
Reverend Thomas Miller of Oakley Union United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe.
