James Meinrad Zentner, age 78, of Cathedral City California passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2015. He was born in Madison on May 24th 1937. He was the son of Meinrad and Emma Gerber Zentner. He graduated from Juda High School in 1955. He then graduated from Green County Teachers College and Platteville State College. He taught in a one room school in rural Edgerton (Lienau School) for two years. Then moving to Monroe, Wisconsin he worked for the Commercial and Savings Bank. In 1963 he moved to Los Angeles California, working for several banks, but spending the last 18 months before retiring at the San Gabriel Valley Bank in El Monte as Vice President of Bank Operations. James has lived in Cathedral City, California since retirement. After retirement he worked several part time jobs, one being a care giver for 6 years, a consultant for a bank in Hesperia, and a barista for a coffee cart for many years.
James enjoyed traveling, working with computers, watching television, and going to the gym. He is survived by sisters, half-sisters, and nieces and nephews from Monroe and other parts of the United States, and also many close friends in Wisconsin, California and Canada.
There will be no services. Jim was cremated and burial will be in Belleville, Wisconsin in the Spring.
