James M. Boyle, age 58, of Monroe died Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Monroe Manor Nursing Home, surrounded by his family. He was born on April 1, 1953 in Darlington Wisconsin the son of Michael and Lenore (McDonald) Boyle and was a graduate of Darlington High School. James married Nancy Burke on April 28, 1973 and they lived in Darlington until moving to Monroe in 1976. Jim worked as a Mechanic for several years, and later worked at Industrial Combustion, and his last job was with Monroe Medical Equipment, where he loved his job and his co-workers. Jim was a people person and he loved visiting with everyone he met.

Jim was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish in Monroe, he loved camping and fishing at Lake Joy Campground, but most of all loved spending time with his family and grandchildren who meant the world to him.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; children, Angie (Tony) Lancaster of Monroe, Carrie (Nick) Hartman of Monroe, Jamie (Leslie) Boyle of Browntown, and Matt Boyle of Monroe; grandchildren, Ethan Coplien, Jordan Hartman, Lilly Lancaster, Logan Lancaster, Tatum Allbaugh, & Colin Boyle, brother; Don (Irene Best) Boyle of Platteville, WI; sisters; Ellen (Roger) Sperry of Darlington, Joan (John) Shemanski of Wautoma, WI; Mary Kay (Bob) McNeill of Dodgeville.

He is preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law Harold Burke, brother-in-law, Nick Burke and a nephew Kevin Suthers.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at St. Clare of Assisi Parish in Monroe, Wisconsin with Celebrant Fr. Larry Bakke. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Cemetery in rural Shullsburg.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 25, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home 1455 Mansion Dr. and 18th Ave. in Monroe, Wisconsin.
