Jack Hauser, Jr. age 76 of Brodhead, Wisconsin formerly of Monroe died Friday, August 2, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Janesville. He was born October 25, 1936 in Jefferson County, Wisconsin the son of John P. and Francis (Benkert) Hauser and graduated from Monroe High School in 1954. Jack entered the U.S. Army on June 18, 1954 at Milwaukee, WI, served as a Light Weapons Infantryman, was discharged on June 17, 1957, and received the National Defense Service Medal & Good Conduct Medal.
Jack married Marilyn A. Weiler on June 29, 1958 at Adams Lutheran Church, rural Argyle, WI. Jack worked at General Motors in Janesville, Beloit Corporation, Industrial Combustion in Monroe & Kundert Oil Company in Monroe. After retiring, he was a van driver for Green County Services & worked at Dick's Supermarket. Jack was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Monroe and Zilmer Riley American Legion Post #84.
Surviving are his wife, Marilyn Hauser of Brodhead; sons, Gregory (Peggi) Hauser, Brian (Tammy) Hauser, Kevin (Jody) Hauser all of Monroe, & Michael (Michelle) Hauser of Brodhead; brother, Gerald (Angie) Hauser of Sun Prairie; sisters, Belva (Larry) Leverton of Monroe & Joan (Fritz) Neuenschwander of Monroe; sister-in-law, Sharon (Jerry) Smith of Davis, IL; God Child, Stephanie Smith; 9 Grandchildren; 8 Great-Grandchildren; and many Nieces, Nephews, & other relatives. He was predeceased by his Parents; brother, Robert Hauser; sisters, Julia Burri, Gladys West, Helen Fernstaedt, & Geraldine Ott; and in-laws, Edwin & Eileen Weiler.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home 1455 Mansion Drive & N. 18th Avenue in Monroe.
A Celebration of Jack's Life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Grace Lutheran Church in Monroe with Pastor John Tabaka officiating. Burial will be in Adams Lutheran Church Cemetery.
A Memorial Fund is being established in Jack's memory.
