J. LeRoy Wuethrich, age 96 of Monroe, died on Friday, May 25, 2012 at the Monroe Clinic Hospital. He was born on May 6, 1916 in Green County the son of John and Rosa (Pfister) Wuethrich. He attended the Roosevelt country school. He was in the Wisconsin National Guard with Company K. LeRoy and Lucille Alston were married on June 26, 1956. He farmed in Clarno Township the greater part of his life. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, the Turn & Schwing Club where he achieved many awards and was also an instructor. LeRoy's greatest passion was his music. The Wuethrich Band played throughout the area for many years, people loved to Polka to his music.

Surviving is his step-sons, Donald Alston, Chris Alston; step-grandchildren, Donald and Cheryl; sister, Margie Schilt; sister-in-law, Hedwig Wuethrich; several nieces and nephews also many grand nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents; wife, Lucille; brother, Robert Wuethrich; sister, Rosalie Wuethrich and a grand nephew, Jeff Koch.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 1, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Grace Lutheran Church, with Rev. John Tabaka officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Monroe. A visitation will be held on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at the Church. The Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home is assisting the family.
