Henry H. Eichelkraut
BELLEVILLE - Henry Harry Eichelkraut, age 73, of Belleville passed away on Friday, November 26, 2010 at Badger Prairie Health Care Center in Verona. He was born on June 12th, 1937 in Paoli to Harry Henry and Caroline (Thrun) Eichelkraut. Henry graduated from Belleville High School in 1955 and then served in the Army Reserves. On June 16th, 1962 he was united in marriage to Mary Matzke in Monroe, WI. Henry farmed and worked at Pet Milk and then retired from Stoughton Trailers in 1999. He was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Belleville and served on the church council. Henry was also a member of the Belleville SnoCats and Belleville Community Club. He loved to hunt, fish, play cards, and do gardening and woodworking.
Henry is survived by his wife Mary of Belleville, a son Paul (Jill) Eichelkraut of Neenah, WI, a daughter Angela (Carey) Herring of Belleville, seven grandchildren Alexis, Haven, Kylie, Piper, Benton, Elise, and Charlie, two sisters Ann (Lloyd) Brockman of Waunakee, WI and Betty (Milt Johnson) Stasney of Black River Falls, WI, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters Rose Case and Kathleen Steers.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 29, 2010 at the First United Church of Christ, 130 E. Church St., Belleville, WI with the Rev. Heide Walker-Hackman officiating with burial in the Verona Cemetery.
