Hasel M. Wilson, age 85 of Juda, died Friday, March 28, 2008 at the New Glarus Nursing Home. Hasel was born October 14, 1922 in Green County, the daughter of Robert and Florence (Nolty) Clark. She attended Shanghai rural school in Spring Grove Township. Hasel and Melvin Wilson were united in marriage on June 14, 1942.

She worked as a cook for the Juda Schools for 20 years and also was employed by the Swiss Colony until retiring in 1988.

She was a former member of the Juda Baptist Church. Hasel had resided at the Collinwood Care Home in Brodhead for the past five years.

She is survived by a son, Wallace L. (Linda) Wilson of Brodhead; a daughter, Merikay (Eugene) Ellefson of Monroe; a sister, Rosalie (Frank) Leopold Jr. of Juda; and three brothers, Robert (Ramona) Clark, John (Doris) Clark, and Forrest (Reva) Clark, all of Davis, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Gale Ellefson.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 3, 2008, at the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, Monroe. Reverend Thomas Miller of the Oakley Union United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will be in Stateline Cemetery, Rock Grove Township, Illinois. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. A memorial fund will be established in Hasel's name. To sign the guestbook go to newcomerfuneralhome.net
