Harvey G. Sperry, age 74, of Darlington, WI, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at Monroe Clinic Hospital in Monroe, WI. He was born April 22, 1938 in Darlington the son of Glen and Marie (Malott) Sperry. Harvey attended Meylor Country School and Darlington High School. He was united in marriage to Gloria J. Yearous on September 22, 1956 at First Baptist Church in Darlington. Harvey lived in Darlington all of his life, where he worked for Otto Jean Construction for 51 years, retiring in 2007.

Harvey is survived by his wife: Gloria at home; four children: Cinda (Carl) Allison of Perrysville, IN, Christine (Wayne) Schwartz of South Wayne, WI, Randall (Lisa) Sperry of Sheridan, IL, and Theresa (Mark) Franz of Appleton, WI; 12 grandchildren: Erin (Charles) Harmon, Travis Allison, Heather Allison, Ryan (Laura) Schwartz, Kelsey Schwartz, Benjamin (Rebecca) Sperry, Gregory Sperry, Alicia Sperry, Jennifer (Brian) Moard, Elizabeth (Adam) Rodewald, Jessica Franz, and Rachel Franz; six great-grandchildren with one on the way; two brothers: Robert (Betty) Sperry of Inverness, FL, and Roger (Ellen) Sperry of Darlington; two brothers-in-law: Otto Jean of Darlington and Thurl (Anadi) Yearous of Nampa, ID; four sisters-in-law: Bev Sperry of DeForest, WI, BJ Ross of Urbana, IL, Marlene Woodward of Milton, WI, and Carol (Bill) Weinbrenner of Mineral Point, WI; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother: Gaylord Sperry; one sister: Darlene Jean; and his mother-in-law: Helen L. Yearous.

Harvey was a member of First Baptist Church in Darlington, where he served faithfully. He enjoyed traveling, photography, metal work, woodworking, and the outdoors with activities, such as hunting and camping. The joy of his life was spending time with his family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 14, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. First Baptist Church, 15691 County Road K in Darlington with Rev. Kevin G. Hanson, Rev. Nate Whiteside, and Dr. Stu Dix officiates. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery in Darlington. A visitation will be held Friday, July 13, 2012, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the church.
