Gordon E. Tucker, 82, of Beloit, WI died Tuesday, December 2, 2014 in his home.
He was born December 21, 1931 in Mount Zion, WI, the son of Lloyd and Delia (Weber) Tucker. Gordon was a 1950 graduate of Beloit High School, Beloit, WI. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Gordon married Dona Piper on November 1, 1952. She predeceased him on January 11, 1994.
Gordon was formerly employed by Beloit Corporation for 38 years.
He loved the country life, hunting, fishing and his animals. Gordon enjoyed dancing with his wife Dona, reading, watching westerns and the Green Bay Packers.
Gordon was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend who will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his daughter, Sherry (Randy) Atkinson and their children, Scottie (Nessa) Henry, Jennie (Jon) Dailey, Ambre Barnes, Joey Barnes, Jason Atkinson, and six great-grandchildren; daughter, Patty (James) Strunz and their children Joshua Strunz, Kristi (Bob) Elgersma, Nicole (Justin) Speich and six great-grandchildren; son, Jeff (Tina) Tucker and their children, Brittney (Steve) Bernier, Steve (Amy) Tucker, Zach Tucker and four great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife Dona Tucker, mother Delia, father Lloyd, four sisters, Winnefred Soerens, Alpha Faust, Velma Boss, and Ruthe Tucker, two brothers, Frank and Vernon Tucker.
Funeral services for Gordon will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 8, 2014 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Rd. Beloit, WI with Chaplin Lora Whitten officiating. Burial will be in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens, South Beloit, IL. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, in the funeral home.
