Gloria Elaine Williams, 78, of Monroe, WI, passed away Tuesday, April 17th, 2018, at the Artisan Assisted Living & Memory Care Center in Middleton, WI, with her eldest daughter by her side. She was born in Freeport, IL, on March 1, 1940, a daughter to Geneva Augusta (Schnell) and Harold Julius Griffin. She graduated from Lena High School in 1958, and married Dale Lyle Williams on June 28, 1959. Dale and Gloria began farming in the Lena-Winslow, IL area, and then moved to Wisconsin, just over the state line, in 1973, until they sold their farm in 2000, and moved to the Monroe, WI area. Gloria was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker, seamstress, gardener and crafter. She was a very active member of the Monroe Branch of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, faithfully serving in many positions. She is survived by her brother, Milo (Marietta) Griffin of Tarpon Springs, FL; three daughters, Larinda (Keith) Power of Verona, WI, Cheri (Brian) Johnson of Phoenix, AZ, Trisha (Kurt) Zarefoss of Middletown, MD; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, her parents, and her foster sister, Vicky Mayhew.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at the Leamon Funeral Home in Lena, IL.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until the time of service on Saturday.

A Graveside Dedication Service will follow the Funeral at the Lena Burial Park.

A memorial has been established in her name.
