Gerald E. Hoffman age 68 of rural South Wayne, Wisconsin died Monday, August 1, 2011 at Monroe Clinic Hospital after a short battle with cancer. He was born November 15, 1942 at Earlville, Illinois the son of John and Rosa (Budach) Hoffman. He graduated from Earlville High School, attended Illinois Valley Junior College for 2 years, & Big Sandy Bible College.

Gerald married Donna C. Jordan on November 17, 1983 in Berwyn, IL. Gerald was a building contractor in the Chicago area before moving to the South Wayne area, where they farmed for 17 years & Gerald worked at Charlton Group in Monroe. He was a member of Albany United Methodist Church, enjoyed raising horses, planting trees, was active in 4-H, FFA, showing & judging cattle, was a breeder of Milking Shorthorn Cattle, Illinois Star Farmer, and received the Illinois American Farmer Degree.

Surviving are his wife, Donna Hoffman of South Wayne, WI; son, Justin (Jacie) Hoffman of Monroe, WI; step-children, Fred (Amber) Herron of Sydney, OH & Rachel (Eric) Ashworth of Corpus Christi, TX; 13 Grandchildren; twin-sister, Marilyn (Carroll) Donohoe of Paw Paw, IL; sisters-in-law, Winifred & Shirley Hoffman; and several Nieces & Nephews. He is predeceased by his Parents and brothers, Kenneth & Howard Hoffman.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 5, 2011 at Albany United Methodist Church with Pastor Pat Soddy officiating.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Thursday at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home 1455 Mansion Drive & 18th Avenue in Monroe.
