George William LaGrange

George William LaGrange, 91 of South Wayne, passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Monroe Health Services. He was born on October 22, 1926 the son of Herbert and Catherine (Koepp) LaGrange in Jacksonville, FL. He was united to Joyce Ann Broge on February 5, 1951 in Greendale.

George was a carpenter for many years, having co-owned B & L Builders with his brother-in-law, Richard Broge. He proudly served in the U.S. Army Air Corp from 1943-1945 and the U.S. Air Force from 1951-1953. He was a WWII Aviation Cadet and an aerial photographer in Korea.

He is survived by his children, Charles "Chuck" LaGrange of South Wayne, David (Carmen Porter) LaGrange of South Wayne, and Eve (Matt) Pospeschil of Janesville; three granddaughters; Kendra LaGrange, Kristin (Andrew Leibfried) Pospeschil, and Paige Soper; one great-grandson Greyson; a sister Mary LaGrange of Milwaukee; and son-in-law, Mike Mason of Browntown; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Chris Soper Mason; and siblings, Jim, Tom, Carol, and Charles in infancy.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home with Monsignor Larry Bakke celebrant. Burial will follow service at Union Cemetery in South Wayne with Military Honors.
