Gary D. McIntosh, age 61 of Monroe, died on Sunday, October 2, 2016, at the Monroe Manor. Gary was born on November 17, 1954 in Flint, MI, the son of Truman Theodore and Juanita Henry (Hopper) McIntosh. He graduated from high school in 1972 and attended Cardinal Stritch University, Highland Community College, and Rockford College. Gary married Linda Lee Thiltgen on October 16, 1981 in Apple River, IL. He had worked as a Network Systems Analyst for Philips Advance Transformer for 20 years and has been a resident of Monroe since 1988. He served on the Ronin Karate Board of Directors for several years.

He is survived by his wife, Linda McIntosh of Monroe; a daughter, Jenna (Tyler) Cramer of Waunakee and their child who is due in January; two sisters, Jeanette Traff of Roscoe, IL, and Rebecca McIntosh of Madison; nephews, Keenan (Janell) Lewellen and Samuel (Sherrie) Lewellen; nieces, Teresa (Bill) Hubbard and Barbie (Jim) Herbert; one great nephew and five great nieces; and his cousin, Julie Gibson. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, James Marvin McIntosh; and a nephew, Kelvin Lewellen.

A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 7, 2016, at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested in Gary's name to the American Diabetes Association, 2800 Royal Avenue, Suite 207, Madison, WI 53713.
