MONROE - A Freeport man died May 29 after he fell off a horse May 26 north of Monticello.
Jeffrey R. Wing, 46, was riding a horse in a driveway in the N6900 block of Wisconsin 69 at about 5 p.m. May 26, according to the Green County Sheriff's Department. The horse bucked and Wing became entangled with the horse.
Green County Sheriff Randy Roderick said Wing wasn't wearing a helmet or headgear at the time of the incident.
Wing was taken to University of Wisconsin-Madison Hospital by Med-Flight.
Green County Emergency Medical Services, Monticello First Response, the Monticello Fire Department and the Green County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene.
