ORANGEVILLE - Fred F. Solberger, 74, passed away at his home on April 28, 2014 in Orangeville, IL. Fred was born on July 5, 1939 in Monroe WI, to Fred and Margaret (Meinert) Solberger. Fred married Connie (Leck) Gutzmer on October 24, 1969 in Orangeville, IL. He worked at Bordens Cheese Factory in Orangeville, then after serving his country in the National Guard he farmed until he retired in 1994 and moved from the farm into the town of Orangeville. He was a member of the Orangeville United Methodist Church, the Postcard Club and Stephenson County Farm Bureau. He enjoyed boating, postcarding, flea markets, going out to eat with friends, playing cards, and eBay. He really enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending their sporting events.

Fred is survived by his wife, Connie; 7 children, Randy (Kelly) Gutzmer of Orangeville, Tim (Diane) Solberger of Monroe, WI, Ricky Gutzmer of Monroe, WI, Penny (Darron) "Duck" Whitney of Juda, WI, Terry Solberger of Freeport, Darci (Andrew) O'Haver of Orangeville, and Kelli (Keith) Schneider of New Glarus, WI. 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents and a sister Margaret Kay Solberger.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 2, 2014 at the Orangeville United Methodist Church in Orangeville, IL.

Visitation from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at the United Methodist Church in Orangeville, IL.

Pastor Cal Schaver and Pastor Oh Cheoneui will officiate the service.

Cremation rites will be accorded after the service.
