Florence Heer, 86, passed away at Waverly Gardens, North Oaks on October 24, 2010. She was born November 13, 1923 in Browntown, WI to storekeepers Ben and Sadie Maddrell. After graduating from Monroe High School, Florence moved to Minneapolis and became a secretary at Pioneer Engineering. She was married to Ralph Heer in 1943 until his passing 53 years later. Florence is preceded in death by her brother Elwin. She is survived by sister Maxine, children Terry Heer and Jan Deakman, Jan's husband Ken and two grandchildren Lauren Deakman (husband Nolan Salzmann) and Alex Deakman. A celebration of Florence's life will be held at Waverly Gardens, 5919 Centerville Road, North Oaks, on Saturday, November 6, 2010. A service will begin at 1 PM, followed by a gathering of friends and family. Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
