Florence A. Tollakson age 93 of Argyle, WI, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2011, at Hospice Care Inc. in Fitchburg, WI. She was born May 12, 1917 in Newberry, MI, the daughter of Oskar and Agnes (Norlin) Linder. Florence grew up in Escanaba, MI, and moved to Rockford, IL. She was united in marriage to Alfred T. Tollakson on September 6, 1947, in Rockford. Following their marriage they moved to Wiota and later to Argyle where Florence and Alfred co-owned and operated Tollakson Memorials until their retirement.

Florence is survived by four sons: Neale (Vicki) Tollakson and Bruce Tollakson both of Argyle, Mark (Barbara) Tollakson of rural Argyle, and Alan (Deirdre) Tollakson of Emporia, KS; six grandchildren: Gwendolyn (Dan) Tucker, Erik Tollakson, Zachari (Jessica) Tollakson, Benjamin Tollakson, and Anya and Ellie Tollakson; four great-grandchildren: Paige and Mia Tucker and Dominic and Veronica Tollakson; and one brother: Loren Linder of Rockford. She was preceded in death by her husband on April 1, 1988 and one sister: Margaret Hansen.

Florence was a member of Cornerstone Lutheran Church, Argyle American Legion Auxiliary Post #251, Alpha Chapter #114 Order of the Eastern Star of Argyle, and Argyle Homemakers. She was a past member of Women of ELCA. Florence enjoyed reading and having coffee with her friends at Irma's. The most important things to Florence were her family, her church, and her faith.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 15, 2011, at 11:00 A.M. at East Wiota Lutheran Church, 10311 Highway 78 rural South Wayne, WI, with Tom Gyllenswan officiating. Burial will be in East Wiota Cemetery in rural South Wayne. A visitation will be held Saturday, January 15, 2011 from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church. Erickson Funeral Home in Argyle is serving the family. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ericksonfuneralhome.com.
