ROCKFORD - Emma Lou Finch, 94, passed away peacefully Monday, August 8, 2011 at P.A. Peterson Center for Health in Rockford, IL. Emma Lou was born on November 22, 1916 in Monroe, Wisconsin to Ernest and Lena (Wenger) Deininger. She married Ray Finch on July 27, 1947, in Great Falls, MT. Emma Lou loved her job serving as a teacher for many years. Emma Lou's quest for learning never stopped which earned a master's degree while in her 50's. She loved to read and share stories with those around her. She was a loving wife and mother. A special thank you goes to the staff of P.A. Peterson and to Northern IL Hospice for the love and care given to our Mom.

Emma Lou is survived by her son, Gregory (Judy) Finch of Loves Park, IL. Emma Lou leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Emma Lou is preceded in death by parents; husband, Ray; and sons, Eugene and Dennis.
