Emil T. Goyich, age 66 of Monroe, died Sunday, May 8, 2011 at the Monroe Clinic Hospital. He was born December 3, 1944 in Omaha, Nebraska the son of Emil and Emelia (Ljubinsovich) Goyich. Emil entered the U.S. Army on February 8, 1963 at Milwaukee, WI and was discharged as SP4E on February 2, 1966 at Fort Hamilton, NY.

Emil and Debra Von Kaenel were married on April 29, 1989. Emil was a truck driver for Ruan Transportation and Schneider National. He was a member of Argyle Rod & Gun Club, Pheasants Forever, and former member of Monroe Fire Department.

He is survived by his wife, Debra Goyich of Monroe, WI; son, Derek Goyich of Monroe, stationed in USAF in Anchorage, AK; brother, Terrence (Kathy) Fancey of Darlington, SC; and sisters, Marg (Chuck) Woodfill of Oshkosh & Mary (Rich) Skrzypcznski of Skokie, IL. He was predeceased by his father, mother, & step-mother, Marilyn, who raised him from the age of 13.

A celebration of Emil's Life will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. with a time of sharing at 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 15, 2011 at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home in Monroe. A memorial fund is being established in Emil's memory.
