BELLVILLE - Elaine Marie Graber, age 41, died on Sunday, May 24, 2009 at the Monroe Clinic Hospital as a result of a motorcycle accident. She was born in Madison on May 23, 1968 to her parents Michael and Arlene (Johns) Cockroft. Elaine graduated from Monroe High School in 1987. She then went on to study nursing at MATC and graduated as an R.N. in 2004. Elaine worked at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison as a certified transplant nurse. She was president and co-founder of the Wisconsin Chapter of the International Transplant Nurses Society (ITNS). Elaine loved to plan parties and special occasions, especially for her friends and family.

Elaine is survived by her three children; Joshua Cockroft of Madison, and Brittany and Jordan Graber of Monroe, and former husband Rick Graber. She also leaves behind her fiancé Tim Sullivan of Belleville, her parents Arlene (Tom) Wirth of Merrimac and Michael Cockroft and Jeanie Coldiron and her daughters of Monroe, brothers; Andrew (Tammy) Cockroft and family Morgan and Garrett of Westminster, CO, Clint (Sara Cavanaugh) Cockroft of Monroe, and Wayne (Elaine) Gift and family Jared and Ethan of Lena, IL. Elaine had a large close family of cousins, aunts, and uncles, her little pets; Lucy, Hooley, and Crocs, and many friends through her love of motorcycling and coworkers at the hospital.

She was preceded in death by her step-mother Geraldine Cockroft and grandparents.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at the St. Mary of Lourdes Church, 221 Frederick St., Belleville, WI at the corner of School St. and Frederick St. with the Rev. Richard K. Gibbs officiating with burial in the Belleville Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 29, 2009 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI.

Memorials are suggested to her childrens' trust fund established at UW Credit Union in Madison.
