Dorothy J. Baertschi, age 86, of Albany, died on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Valley Park Assisted Living in Albany. She was born on August 19, 1928 the daughter of Harry and Laura (Holtsapple) Jacobson and graduated from Albany High School.
Dorothy married Fred F. Baertschi on October 11, 1947 in Belleville.
Dorothy was a farm wife and was a seasonal worker at Monticello Mink Farm and Swiss Colony.
She is survived by her children: Pamela (Larry) Teasdale of Shullsburg; Jan (Roger) Brewer and Laurie (Ron) Keepers both of Albany; grandchildren: Chad (Tara) Teasdale, Leigh (Mark) Lierman, Julie (Aaron) Wiegel, Reggie Brewer, Marcie (Ryan) Brugger, Jed (Angie Erickson) Keepers and Scott Keepers; great-grandchildren: Luke and Ryan Teasdale, Shay and Lance Lierman, Anna, Emily and Isabelle Wiegel, Skylar, Rhylin, and Raydin Brewer, Aubree Brugger and Hannah Keepers; sister, Joanne Rankins of Monroe.
She is predeceased by her parents; husband, Fred, February 2014, brother, Harry C. Jacobson and sister, Marian Maenner.
Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. the Albany United Methodist Church with Pastor Pat Soddy officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery at a later date.
A visitation will be held, Monday, December 15th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Albany United Methodist Church.
