Dorothy H. Goecks, age 93, of Monroe, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Pleasant View Nursing Home. She was born August 14, 1920 the daughter of Fred and Rose (Leibundgut) Ingold. Dorothy was a graduate of Monroe High School. Dorothy married Herbert Pfund, on January 10, 1948, where they farmed in the Juda area for more than 25 years, he preceded her in death. She later married Ernest J. Goecks on July 2, 1978. Dorothy worked seasonally at the Swiss Colony and was a school secretary at the Northside School. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Women of the Moose Lodge #599 and had been a member of the Monroe Country Club for many years.

She is survived by her son, Bill (Susan) Pfund, Libertyville, IL; daughter, Julie (Chris) Sachs, Monroe; step-sons, Toby E. (Corrine) Goecks of Baraboo, William (Aracely) Goecks of Lake Dallas, TX; step-daughters, Karyn (Charles) Staicar of Leicester, NC and Faye (David) Gordon of Monroe; granddaughters, Kirsten and Katy Pfund; 13 step-grandchildren and 23 step-great-grandchildren; siblings, Charles (Ruth) Ingold, Monroe and Hedy Swiggum, Monroe.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Herbert and Ernest; sisters, Clara Montgomery and Helen Stuart.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. at St. John's United Church of Christ with Rev. Tiff. H. Bates officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home.

A memorial fund is being established to the St. Johns United Church of Christ.
