Dollie Ruth (Netcott) Elliott

Dollie Ruth (Netcott) Elliott, 86, was ushered into Heaven through the saving grace of Jesus on November 11, 2016. Dollie was born April 21, 1930 in Ames, Iowa to George (Bud) and Marie Netcott. She attended Ames High School. She married Boyd Elliott on August 27, 1950. They lived in Monroe, WI for many years before moving to Freeport, Illinois where she worked as a Realtor for Krogull Mercier Realtors. Dollie has lived with her daughter in Ames for the last 2 years. She was a member of Park Hills Evangelical Free Church, Freeport. Dollie was an avid gardener and her beautiful gardens were featured in the annual Freeport Garden Walk. Her greatest joy was her family, and she dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dollie is survived by her three children, Larry (Carol) Elliott, Freeport, IL; Elaine Blue, Monroe, WI; Shelly (Steve) Larson, Ames, IA; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; her brother Irvin (Josephine) Netcott, Ames, IA, two sisters Georgia Pejsha, TX and Sherry (Bob) Stowe, FL; and sister-in-law Elaine Crawford, AZ. Dollie's son Larry is honored to do the officiating at his mother's service. The service will be held on Saturday, November 26th at 1:00 p.m. at Park Hills Evangelical Free Church in Freeport, IL. Memorials will go to various Christian ministries that Dollie supported.
