DECORAH, Iowa/MONTICELLO - Dodie M. Fuhr, age 62, of Decorah, IA and formerly of Monticello, WI passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Select Specialty Hospital in Madison following injuries from a vehicle accident on July 2, 2013. She was born on February 16, 1951 in Indianapolis, IN to her parents Henry and Harriet (Patterson) Mallory. Dodie graduated from Greenwich Academy in Greenwich, CT and Stevens College in Columbia, MO. On July 21, 1972 she was united in marriage to Ronald Fuhr at Topeka, KS. Dodie was a member of Grace Church in New Glarus. She was also a member of the National Association of Mental Illness (NAMI), the Herb Society of Madison, and the FFA Alumni. Dodie was a published author of two books on faith and mental illness.

Dodie is survived by her husband Ronald Fuhr, daughters Amanda (Adam) Heisner, April Fuhr, and Ashley Fuhr, and grandchildren Austin and Andrew Heisner. She is further survived by her sisters Sandra (Thomas) Constabile, Susan (Jeff) Dunn, and Sally Morris and mother-in-law Iris Fuhr.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Adam, and father-in-law Robert E. Fuhr.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 1, 2013 at Grace Church, 416 Second St., New Glarus, and WI with Pastor Roger Olsen and Pastor Douglas Bryce officiating.

A gathering will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 1, 2013 at Grace Church in New Glarus.
